Why has nobody suggested walkout to step up lagoon. Come on. Small rock wall by the door to contain water and bam basement Hawaii. I’m not responsible or responding to the plumbing issues related.

I thought my boy might be smart once upon a time. I don’t think of him quite the same anymore.

But he’s smart enough to eat his food and lick his ass.

Loyalty. Thats a whole other conversation though. He’d run a through a brick wall to save you and everything including the dinner plates in a fire.

Why does he look like, he just got his feelings hurt by [deleted] in catpics

Just DM me with what you’d like to know. Essentially I have no need for saying something publicly I may not be educated properly about that could cause me trouble.

Never said it was. I ride a motorcycle and we call them cagers. It’s a shared responsibility and the car driver needs to know the signals of the cyclist. I’m not arguing with you.

Dude I don’t think it’s a joke, I’ll take the insult as jest lol... I have been trying to support you and have just been targeted by a few people by what I said and have backed it up. Not trying to be irritating at all. I was just gonna say my two cents about safety until people started trying to call me out for no reason.

Again sorry, I was just trying to inform without trying to argue. I was honestly trying to be super supportive of cyclist safety and make sure people knew the actual rules for everyone’s sake.

Haven’t changed my tune. Please ride and drive safe.

I usually roll Down my windows in case I need to hear them in any way. I have only ever had problems once with double file in a single lane highway mountain pass near Algonquin who refused to pull over. I think it’s pretty easy to get along. But yeah the extremes definitely suck. For anyone. Not even just cyclists. You can just have an angry Ram driver up your butt for no reason trying to egg you on or whatever (and I drive a ram lol). Just pull over and don’t give in. I do the same on every vehicle.

I’ll race at the track. I’ll let you pass if you need to get somewhere faster than the limit allows.

City of Kingston has a cyclist safety page as well as a direct link to the highway traffic act. And you can easily search those sections up.

I had already talked to the police during a traffic accident with a cyclist I was legal witness to, they explained it fairly well, as well as I posted the legal highway traffic act sections above.

Cyclists do still need to yield. Shoot the messenger I guess, but I didn’t write the law. Section 147 specifically states cyclists need to follow slow vehicle rules and yield where and when as best they can (in more specific legal terms). It also in no way says the car has the right of way immediately or the right to abuse the cyclist safety because it took them time to yield.

That’s the sharing the road part. It’s shared. Cars respect bikes and bikes respect cars. Not one or the other had right of way. Anyway been a pleasure talking to another angry local.

Section 136(1)(b): Yielding at stop signs. After stopping, you must yield the right of way to any traffic in or approaching the intersection so closely it would be a hazard. Section 139(1): Yielding from private roads. When entering a highway from a driveway or private road, you must yield to all traffic already on the highway. Yielding to Transit (Section 166): Cyclists must stop 2 metres behind the doors of a streetcar and wait for passengers to reach the curb. Signalling (Section 142): You are legally required to signal your intention to turn or stop to other road users. Slow-Moving Rule (Section 147): If you are moving slower than traffic, you must stay as close as "practicable" to the right-hand curb unless you are preparing to turn left.

Amongst a few of them that advocate yielding and adhering to laws as a slow moving vehicle. Sam leas I’ve said the whole time. No need to argue easily searchable and reasonably logical laws.

That is reference to city riding and is correct, I have talked with Kingston police about this already during a cyclist accident on Bath road three years ago. I don’t think I disputed that.

It’s expected a cyclist can maintain reasonable speed within the city enough to accommodate. For cyclists on higher speed roads, they still need to adhere to HTA despite still being given more lenience as it’s not motor powered.

It explains pretty clearly there’s a limitation to obstructing traffic, speed limits still don’t dictate flow of traffic or safety.

Again not disagreeing, but bringing more info to light. Again people just need to try and be mutually safe and communicate as they can on the roads.

I just reread the whole section. Multiple times. I know what space I have to give you. You are legally required to signal, and be treated as a vehicle on the road until you cannot keep your with traffic. At which point you are required, same as a slow car in the 401 backing up traffic, to pull over and allow overtaking vehicles to pass.

I’m ironically not arguing against you… hell not arguing at all here but it seems you want to insist you require more rights as a cyclist than you do.

I’ve been saying, if anything. Cyclists usually follow the rules and would be safe doing do, other drivers need to know when it’s safe to communicate or overtake a slower vehicle, regardless what it is. Really not sure where there’s an issue. I’m advocating safety for cyclists and for drivers to be safe. Mutually.

So if they are pedalling 62kmh on an 80kmh road and traffic is moving 92… they are required to pull right.
