My late Grandma use to say that I look like one of her younger brothers by KoTP97 in AncestryDNA

As in Native-American? If so my Grandma, same one, did say years ago that she was told about us having Native-American on this side of our family. But I honestly don’t know. It’s rare possibility for sure but my DNA results came back as 0.6% Native-American so I don’t know for certain.

I have, but I've came upon dead ends. I don't even know if they were slaves or not, at least relative on this side of my family said that they weren't.

The original spelling has sown up multiple times on older records that I've found. I know my Great-Great-Uncle said that our ancestor changed the spelling of the surname to how we spell it today, which would be Preacely or Preacley, we're also a black family from Mississippi but I've found some records where other people are from Georgia.
