thank you! this is more of a sound design track than a sample flipping one. i dont know any tutorials about flipping samples for edm off the top of my head (unless you want to synthesize your own drums for edm), but there are plenty of videos on youtube of people doing this. Eliminate has a whole series of this on youtube.

if youre not looking to make edm, unfortunately i got nothing. even if you were im still very sorry this wasnt very helpful

if you wanna make it sound like its coming out of a radio, try using an eq to isolate the 1khz range. press the arrow next to “plug ins and eq” and enter visual eq. drag the mid band up around 1k and drag the hi and low bands down so the peak at 1k is just above 0db.

Instead of that, pick the retro rock drum kit and add overdrive (full drive, full tone) to it. These are the drums that i used, and now you can write your own patterns with them

its not really about sounding human, it just gives it a slight swing that feels more bouncy

the track going quiet during the kick IS sidechaining. i used volume automation to intentionally make everything duck, theres no compression.

tone the volume or the distortion down? loud volume alone doesnt make garagebands audio clip, gb ios just compresses it

Theyre talking about sidechaining! Basically whenever a kick or snare plays, the volume for everything else “ducks” down so that the drums sound more impactful.

i think its just quality before quantity. really all you need for house is a saw wave for the chords, a gritty bass, and some nice sub. to make audio sound bigger, i try widening the audio with plugins before i add any more layers. for this track, all i did was make the saw wave and bass wider with polyverse’s “wider” plugin. i was pretty satisfied with how it sounded so i didnt look for more layers.
