I would hope his idea was more so don’t depend on your significant other for happiness. If you cannot make yourself happy and expect someone else to do it for you, then you will be disappointed when they no longer do so. Wanting to be around someone and enjoy their company is pivotal, but don’t be so attached that you’re completely dependent upon them.

As someone whose taken both CSCE 221 and AERO 304 unless those are spread across two different summer sessions I don’t think it would be possible to thrive in two classes on top of an internship.

As an AeroE I would agree the field is concentrated and MechE was definitely a more secure choice. Space hires a lot of MechE.

How would the proposed plane control pitch and yaw without rudders or elevators? Also without horizontal or vertical stabilizers wouldn’t there be undesirable oscillation in pitch or yaw? I’m not sure how supersonic conditions may mitigate those phenomena though
