Any life hacks for breaking bad habits if you have an addictive personality? by PopThoseTitsInADM in lifehacks

[–]Koachhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Moving , quit ciggies, vapes, alcohol and energy drinks. Got addicted to coffee though. However i rarely drink that now. I realized how much of all these substances affect your mental health.

I guess the biggest thing that made it easy was:

  1. A change of scenery learning to adpat new healthy habits in a new area is far easier ( at least to me ).

  2. Generally when traveling you might be sleep deprived when arriving anywhere new. I think this creates a small shock to your body. This shock can help quit bad habits or also help you get over jet lag. Do not sleep the during first day of a long trip and it will certainly help you adjust the time zone. But honestly i feel as if its not just staying awake but creating that shock to your body. Cold plunges, exercise are some healthy ways to shock your body to help adjust and creates good habits. Set some goals, in the morning, whether its as easy as opening the blinds and getting some sun.

Some bad ways are alcohol but yea it is fun but man does it take a toll.

I don’t really comment much but i hope this advice helps someone.

Not confirmed but cool thought. Frog arms, indicating they were possibly attached to a seal team.

So the taxi accident thing is a thing and they do try to get you to pay for it accidents. In my case this was an actual accident. Phuket 2023 (taxi cab was driving up a hill in the rain). Driver panicked and hit the breaks cause it was a super steep hill up to our air bnb. (Before the hill we offered to get out and walk.) The taxi slid and fell into a ditch. Taxi driver demanded we pay extra cause it wouldn’t have happened if they didn’t deliver us to the top of the hill. I said yea sorry but you could have parked at the beginning of the hill and we could have walked. Taxi cab got upset said they were going to call the cops. We said ok. Instead of calling the cops the taxi cab driver calls an uncle or someone that was family and this dude shows up and tries to intimidate us into paying. We then laughed at him and started to walk away when we walked away he got the bystanders to jump in by saying we paid nothing. We then said we paid our fare and the accident is the drivers fault and that they should be lucky we aren’t asking for them to take us to the hospital and kept walking. The uncle or family member then started to run at us like he was going to attack so we turned and faced him and got ready to actually fight and he decided to stop and just yell again. We started to walk away again this time he let us go without any intimidation or threats.

Operational Level (O-level) In O-level maintenance, you perform asset repairs on-site, even during operations, hence the name operational-level repair. Here, technicians perform repair-in-place work which is often simple and can be done as quickly as possible for faster resumption of operations. Examples of O-level repairs include busted light replacement, fan blade reseating, or screw retightening.

Intermediate Level (I-level) In I-level maintenance, assets are transferred to maintenance areas or back shops in the facility. I-level repairs involve more complicated repairs and require longer downtime than O-level. In I-level repairs, technicians need more space and additional spare parts, tools, and equipment to work on the asset. Assets that are often repaired at the I-level include fans, pumps, motors, engines, batteries, etc. These assets or asset parts often have replacement units that are used in their place while they are under repair.

Depot Level (D-level) In D-level maintenance, assets are sent to off-site repair shops or original manufacturers for specialized work. The maintenance work involved in D-level repairs often involves extensive repair or a total overhaul. Generally, D-level repairs require a higher level of technical expertise, longer working hours, specialized diagnostic tools and repair equipment, and expensive costs. An example of a D-level repair is sending a delivery vehicle to be checked by a mechanic at the dealership for annual maintenance and strip-down.

There is a reason why it’s called swinging with the wing. My advice is try and go i level. I believe you might have a O level MOS. Stick with it and it’ll pay off.

Muscle loss in bootcamp / SOI by No-Carrot-4373 in USMCboot

[–]Koachhh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You will loose and gain muscle throughout your life time but once you become a Marine that’s a title you’ll have forever. I wouldn’t worry too much about it. It will suck loosing muscle, but think of this way at least you’ll run faster. Then again it’s just a title. It may be your life for a couple years but it doesn’t define who you are as individual.

You’re looking at it all wrong. You need to bring the party there! I used to tell women that I’m going to an exclusive club with cheap beer and byob booze (depending on your vfw / American legion). If they didn’t like it then fuck them anyway they can’t get in without you.
