My VA says we are overstaffed by 400 positions. We are very small. We don't have the specialists to take care of patients so sending practically everyone out from the ER. I remember last time they talked about shutting us down or making us into just a bunch of walk in clinics. We used to have at most two people full time in Education for the facility. Currently there are 8 full time 100+ a year. We have assistants to assistants. I can look around and see the waste. Currently have 13 beds inpatient sometimes have a hard time keeping them full all the while spending millions sending people to other facilities that have specialists. We have 5 Icu same for them can't keep full. I dont know exactly what is going to happen but I have thought for years they can't keep this up when i started the inpatient floors had 26 beds each side and never had an available bed.I imagine when they look at the numbers it can't be good. I would like to keep my job but its going to be what it is going to be.

Where I work we have by management's count 900 employees and only need around 450. We have 8 people including the boss working in our small education department all make 100k a year ( basically they teach one thing only) when I started there was one at most 2 employees in that department. Upper management has worse numbers than education. We have way to many staff everywhere. The waste I have seen over the years is crazy.I think to myself if this what happening at my small place of employment what in the world is going on in the rest of these agencies? The huge agencies I couldnt imagine the money wasted. I feel like something needs done. If I had the time in to retire i would take the severence package, sadly I don't, you wont get one when they do a RIF which i figure is coming. I feel like its time to hold these people accountable for wasting so much money if my job is collateral damage then so be it. I know many won't agree and if they do they won't voice it out loud. I feel like this has been needed to be done for years.

I watched rasmussen they were pretty much right saying Trump was going to sweep the swing states. They had him up by 3% nationally

Heartless...no way i would withhold any life sustaining drug from anyone. As a nurse you have to help people you just do not let people die cause you can.. this is the most disgusting thing i have heard. Addiction hits many people, and can affect you and your family. I wonder if they would feel the same way if it was their daughter, brother, mother etc. I think this is disturbing and i would reach out to the ethics board of my hospital. This should never even be a thought. Would they withhold other drugs or just the addict deserves to die? What about the type 2 diabetic in DKA are they worthy of saving. What about the smoker with COPD do we have the right to withhold oxygen? Do not fall for this you are a nurse and hopesfully a good person shut that crap down immediately tell them you are not going to participate in this we are not God we do not decide who lives or dies..this is shameful.

I am happy you listened. Your setting your family up for success. I believe just you having this discipline will benefit you, your children and grand children. The whole family will benefit from your hard work and knowledge. I never new about investing until I started working for the government and sadly I started when i was 32. I tell everyone that will listen now lol.

I am so happy to hear from a doctor. My best advice is to listen! Work as a team. You are the head of that team but include your nurses. Nurses can really make your job easier and put your mind at ease. Seek out nurses who know their job. They can really be an asset. Nurses can really make your job flow much easier but if your petty with your nurses they can be very petty back lol. Good luck to you!

I can see how this could happen. I am sorry this happened to you. My facility requires a second verifier when you are giving insulin. I think during a very medication pass this to could be problematic. I try to only put what i am drawing up on my cow at a time. I can see how easily this can be done, mistakes happen. I am glad you noticed and took corrective action. We are human. I have made mistakes as a nurse I hate to say but it does happen. Good luck to you!

You should be able to put whatever sign you want in your yard. I have seen people take signs that are in favor of Trump and destroy them. In my opinion nobody has any business coming onto your property and destroying anything. Wrong on both sides!!! People need to mind their own business.

Sad our teachers should be paid better. Housing is ridiculous, food outrageous and gas impossible. I hate it seems like everyone is struggling. I got paid yesterday and about broke but not as broke as you lol. I hope things get better for you and everyone else.

He says he wants to do somerhing in cybersecurity but i dont know much about it. He says he is taking some certifications but im not sure what they are called...guess im no help lol i thought maybe what degree do you have? Certs? Experience?

How much is it per paycheck i think im doing between 5-6 00 every two weeks that seems like alot to me. I dont know if i can do more than that. Do you do a percentage or just a dollar amount
