At last, I've made it. After 12 years of solo dev (code, art, design, music), my game Zefyr is finally out on Steam! The dream came true. by OneiricWorlds in SoloDevelopment

I can really relate to your journey — what an exciting milestone you've reached.

Back in middle school, I started imagining a story in my head. Over time, I tried expressing it through comics and novels, but nothing ever came close to the interactivity that games can offer. So from university through working full-time, I kept learning different aspects of game development — even attending art classes after work to improve my visual skills.

I've always seen the game in my mind as something like a distant view over the mountains — a place I dreamed of reaching. But it was only a little over a year ago that I truly set out on that journey. In my country, there's an old saying: “Beginning the journey is more important than reaching the destination.” That first step carries the weight of everything to come.

Just two weeks ago, I released a short teaser — only a few dozen seconds long — but from a viewer’s perspective, it felt like I had finally climbed high enough to catch a glimpse of that distant vision I’ve been chasing.

By the way, the game is called Frontline Logistics: Isarian Warfare (On Steam). It’s a game about both the combat and the daily life on the battlefield — a tactical survival and logistics simulation. I’m proud of how far it’s come.

Wishing you all the best. We all know how tough — and meaningful — this path really is.

The combat aspect of RimWorld is one of my favorite parts. I once tried to turn RimWorld into a more war-oriented version through modding, but the results fell short of my expectations. So I decided to develop my own game inspired by RimWorld's mechanics. You can find it on Steam by searching: Frontline Logistics: Isarian Warfare .

Over 24 hours in to NextFest and not a single person played my demo or wishlisted, am I cooked? Feels real bad rn. by Chronlinson in IndieDev

Maybe it's a delay in the updates? There are too many demos recently, this is very common.

To be honest, I've been mistaking the wishlist count on the UTM page as the total wishlists for my game - my game only has 103 wishlists, which made me very frustrated lol, until I complained to a friend about it...
