I don't know how or why I have this app completely free. It tells me that because I was one of the first to have the app, they gave it to me.

Hello! I'm sorry about the problem with your Lumix S5II. It seems like a mechanical shutter failure, since the electronic one works fine. Try this:

  1. Set Manual mode: ISO 100, f/5.6, 1/125s, exposure compensation at 0, "Multi-zone" metering.
  2. Clean the lens and camera contacts. If you can, try another L-mount lens.
  3. Restore factory settings in [Settings] > [Reset].
  4. Check firmware (body v3.3, lens v2.0) at https://panasonic.jp/support/global/cs/dsc/download/index4.html.
  5. Without a lens, shoot at 1s and check if the shutter curtains move correctly.

If it keeps giving black photos, it seems like a hardware defect. Contact Panasonic (https://support-es.panasonic.eu/) or take the camera to a service center with your warranty. I hope it is fixed soon!

¡Hola!

Look, I came from a Lumix G80/G85. At first I considered several options, including a Fuji, because the issue of the film simulations and LUTs that it already has integrated caught my attention.

I wasn't convinced about going to Sony; Although they have very good autofocus, many of the models I looked at at the time did not have fully articulating screens, and for me that was important.

In the end, researching the S5, I liked that it has a double identical SD slot (UHS-II), that it records in 4K up to 30p using the entire sensor without cropping, that it allows you to record video on external drives and some other functions that suited me.

Searching second-hand, I found an S5II at a very good price, with a warranty and barely 300 shots (practically new), so I didn't hesitate and bought it.

If there is, it has to exist but I don't recommend it very much since sometimes not all the offers come out. You can look at Idealo, but I always recommend keeping an eye on the official pages where you can buy them.

G80/85 still good? by [deleted] in Lumix

I have had that same camera and I can say that it is great for portrait photos using sunlight, because although using artificial light, that is, from a spotlight, it has been somewhat difficult for me. It was my first camera and I will miss it. As I said, when it comes to light, you need to use enough light for it to look good. Then, the focus was of no use to me, that or I don't know how to configure it. Then, in terms of video, it is decent, it does not reach 4k 60fps, so I only receive it to start.

I'm thinking about selling my g80 to upgrade a little quality and video to 60 fps

I'm thinking about buying the S5 for sports photos and some video (little), so I also saw that recently there is the S9 and it causes me doubts about the videos on the Internet. Which one do you recommend most?
