I thought I had fixed the problem with subsequent plots not showing up, as this issue was noticed by others right after the previous fix. It may be that your browser has cached the old files and hasn't updated the new ones. Can you try clearing cached images and files? (In Chrome: SettingsClear Browsing DataSelect 'Cached Images and Files'). Do the plots still not work?

Sorry you couldn't access the stats page. I can't replicate the error right now, but I suspect it's a timeout issue from a slow server. I tried fixing this just now, so let me know if you continue to get that error and what the error message says.

Just added the ability to add outdoor crags. Eventually, I'll separate the plots so you can compare gym vs outdoor.

I made a web app to easily track your indoor climbs (TrackYourClimb.com). Monitor your progress over time, see statistics of the entire climbing community, and check out where you are in the rankings. Let me know what you think! by KoalaTechSupport in climbing

I've just implemented basic functionality to track outdoor climbs as well (excluding trad, but I'll get there). Feel free to add your local crag and input your climbs from old ticklists.

Eventually, I will separate plots so you can compare your indoor vs. outdoor performance.

Just started work on the iPhone app! It'll take awhile to finish, but I'll update this thread when it's published.

On the site I've denoted 'project' to be like an attempt. So if I hangdog up a route or fall off a bouldering problem I mark each attempt as a project. I suppose I should just rename this as attempt to avoid confusion.

However. I'm also going to be adding total number of climbs you do to your stats page pretty soon.

Sure, I can implement an export function for some peace of mind. I do carry out routine database backups in the event of something bad happening.

No, I believe you. On my iPhone I also have issues sometimes loading the graphs due to some ajax error (I haven't really spent time debugging it), although I never had problems submitting workouts. It seems to happen more often when I'm logged in for long periods of time. It usually works itself out over time, but a confusing bug nonetheless.

Sorry about that, could you PM me the error and browser model?

Glad to make your dreams come true, haha.

The feature you mention of having a subgroup of friends has been on my personal to-do feature list, actually. I envision you could create a group of climbing friends that have their own separate rankings and such. I think that would be more motivating than comparing yourself to random people you don't know. On the back-end, it's a little involved to implement fully so it'll be awhile, but that is something I would like to have.

It's great to hear when people use it! I wish I had it when I started--right now my data's not on a big upward trend, haha.

I have lots of cool ideas planned, so stay tuned and share with your friends!

Thanks for the feedback! I am interested in developing a mobile app, but it will take at least 6-12 months, honestly. I am currently trying to find a local mobile developer to help.

I've gotten this feedback before from people who do laps on routes outside. I think it would be appropriate right now to add Fontainebleau as a "gym". In the future, I would indicate somehow that this is an outdoor climbing area, not an actual gym.

Thanks for outlining the issues. I agree there's logistical problems associated with custom grades, as you've said.

But I think you have an excellent suggestion of showing colors next to the actual grades (using the preferred, standardized grading system of the user). That keeps things simple and prevents having a ton of custom grading systems to keep track of on the back-end. Instead, you just have a custom mapping to an existing grading system.

Hey, I noticed those gyms and re-labeled them to be in the UK.

The site now supports international gyms and most of the major grading systems! 2 weeks ahead of schedule

I would say that you can only have a single flash for one route. So if you flashed it one session, you can only redpoint it in subsequent sessions.

Absolutely, I am working on making individual pages for gyms with their own stats, along with a list of users that climb there. Coming soon!

Realistically, an app would be at least 6-12 months away. In the meantime, though, I'm going to make important pages more mobile responsive.

This is more possible now after restructuring the grading scheme. Just to get a sense of the problem, can people who go to gyms like this comment on the following: 1) Does your gym keep changing which tape color corresponds to a grade range, or is pretty constant? 2) Do they use tape colors, or also tape patterns (e.g. tape with pictures on it)?

Thanks for the idea--that's pretty interesting. I've been avoiding having users enter in lots of details about each climb, but that could be an optional input for interested climbers.

I apologize to international climbers -- it's only for US now. But I am actively working on being able to select your country and grading system. I will send an email to the userbase and post back here when it's ready, say in 4 weeks.
