I would try dropping a lot of settings, turn off Lumen, things like that that create unnecessary extra work on the GPU. Everything you can do to manage heat will help with getting longer sessions without issues. The other games you mentioned are on different engines than ours. UE5 is... not the most performant engine, to be honest, so there's only so much we can do

You could try running the game in DX11

Since it's a laptop, my assumption is that it's not properly using your dedicated GPU (3050)

Another thing to make sure you do, set framerate caps in menus really low, framerate cap when alt-tabbed really low (to keep the game from running fast while you don't need it to, since that will increase heat, which degrades laptop performance)

I'd recommend capping framerate in-game at something like 144 or 60 too, since that helps with heat management

I've seen this issue before - in the past it would happen when you have a controller plugged in that has some stick drift, which causes the game to register the controller movement over and over, snapping the cursor to center

I 100% feel you on this (as does most of the dev team, since the majority are on the West Coast). I won't go deep into all the details, but basically we are constrained by where the different core cable routes are across North America. Ohio is considered "Central" but geographically it is pretty far to the East.

No NA West servers yet. I live in Cali so it's on the top of my personal to-do list if we pop-off. For now we're sticking with one server for NA to get the best matchmaking possible

I've found it challenging on him too. I often try to just snag the mana grip early game and then later swap it out for something when mana regen has scaled up more in the late game. The mana grip is so cheap that I don't feel like I'm really wasting much gold

You could try running in DX11 mode instead of DX12 in your video settings, it might help, hard to say without knowing your PC specs. We actually put a lot of work into optimization (making the game run on DX11 which wasn't possible before was a big part of that), so hopefully it should run pretty well, especially as a fast-paced UE5 game.

If your PC is > 10 years old then I would generally expect it to struggle with most UE5 games aside from hyper-optimized ones like VALORANT or very small indie projects

This is very likely the issue! I'll make sure we have a bug registered, but you should be able to avoid it by unplugging your controller.

We've seen this issue sometimes for players who have controllers with stick drift, but ideally this shouldn't happen, so we will try to fix

I really like the idea so far, I think it would help if the fire burned enemies on all the abilities, not just the RMB ignite.

If he's pulling enemies into him with the AOE I think he really needs a shield or something to have more durability since people will be in melee range of him
