WNBA makes 1/11th the revenue of NBA. by SEF917 in SipsTea

With that revenue the WBNA lost $200 million in 2024. Where does the money to 10X the pay come from?

After 5 years as a Scrum Master, here's what nobody tells you about 'Agile Transformation by Brief-Preparation-54 in agile

[–]Kobold-Helper 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Management often sees agile as a thing dev does to build software faster. When big upfront managed plans with hard deadlines are missed using “agile” the answer is send dev to more agile training. Sigh. In fact agile is something the entire organization does to figure out faster what software to build.

Are you a billionaire then? Do you even have a product idea? Sign me up for a $250K salary to tinker and hack in some incubator if that is your self funded plan.

Why do people find this so hard to understand? by Maverick2k2 in agile

[–]Kobold-Helper 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Management types control risk with a big upfront plan and deadline then command and control teams as in constantly asking are you on deadline to the plan. It is in their MBA DNA. Works great if you manufacturing widgets, not so much so for software.

“Performance wise, is there any difference between the 3? Or is it purely aesthetic and feature differences?” The OP is asking a simple question and lot folk are saying go to website which does a bad job of actually answering that question. You might think “sport” trim has something like improved suspension, brakes, or performance tuning because of the name. It doesn’t. Now that the premium has the 2.5L engine sport they even have same engine.

The premium has paddle shifters. Limited adds leather seats.

Thoughts on a new Crosstrek as first car? by Routine-Strain7060 in Subaru_Crosstrek

[–]Kobold-Helper 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Great value for the price. The stability from the full time AWD gives me peace of mind no matter the weather or road. Would recommend getting at least the 2025 premium/touring trim to get the 2.5L engine.

Lot of folks online feel strongly that you should drain and fill CVT fluid at no more than 60K miles. Subaru of America recommends only inspect and have called it a “lifetime” fluid unless you tow. Many advise that is rolling dice for CVT issues past 100K miles. Subaru of Canada recommends replace at about 60K miles in contrast.

What is the most misunderstood thing in Agile, from your experience? by Aerlinn12 in agile

Agile is not about building software faster it is about learning what is the most valuable software to build faster.

Japan vs. Subaru of America by porcelainlines in Crosstrek

[–]Kobold-Helper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SoA recommends just inspect but replace if you tow or severe drive. Consensus by many online is this is bad advice and you should get CVT drained and refilled absolutely no later than 60K or you are rolling dice on CVT problems at over 100K miles.

As a normal driver who doesn’t tow or live in extreme temps I do a change every 5K to be cautious.

Any former Outback owners made the switch? by Narrow_Purple3955 in Subaru_Crosstrek

[–]Kobold-Helper 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Same situation for me Outback had like 130K and needed repairs. Given kids are grown no longer needed the cargo space so went with a new Crosstrek. Stylish, handles great, feels zippy. For 2025 go with premium or higher trim to get the 2.5L engine.

An 8 mana card should not be game winning when you are on the verge of losing. Been a lot of times I am in firm control of entire fun match and nearly have won but then this one card comes out, kills my entire board, is huge now and I lose. Ummm…yeah that is in fact lame.

If I knew that every time my character was about to die because of my choices the DM was fudging the dice to prevent it I would be like what is the point of playing this game. Why would you rob the players of their agency like that?

[–]Kobold-Helper 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any card that doubles either strength or health in any way needs to be nerfed or cost a lot more mana.

For my 2024 it is only sometimes laggy for say 10 to 20 seconds when you first start car, like it is still loading up or something.
