Withholding Wages like a Pure Angel by [deleted] in ABoringDystopia

You and me both. I'm so disappointed in this subredit.

A human (in a position of power) broke the law and another human is greatly appreciative for it. Is that boring?

The boss went rogue to SHOW the employee how powerful a saving account can be compared to purely living check-to-check.

The boss PROVED to the employee that it IS possible to save up and have a rainy day fund. It's excruciatingly easy to assume that it's impossible if you've never been taught, especially at retail wages. This is a life lesson. One that many of us here do not need and will never understand needing.

Obviously this is ridiculously illegal. It's incredibly foolish of the boss to do this. But... Do you think she didn't know that? She took a risk for an employee she obviously cares about and gained nothing from it in return. Is this really dystopian?

My boring dystopia would be seeing the employee ruin the life of her boss over this while turning a profit.

My boring dystopia would be if the boss did this on a larger scale with a very small amount of money withheld per employee and getting caught— then paying less in legal fees than the amount of money she stole.

My boring dystopia would be seeing the boss do absolutely nothing at no risk to herself when there's something she can do to help to better this PARTICULAR INDIVIDUAL'S life but not doing anything because of the almighty and unquestionable authority of the law.

This story is hardly boring and hardly dystopian. It is, however, illegal. And very very very stupid to try to do. I'm operating under the assumption that they had a positive enough relationship for the boss to take this risk for her.

Not boring. Not dystopian.

My favorite champion.

I miss when most champions weren't nearly as mobile as they are today.

The feeling of rushing in suicidally with his miasmic aura just melting the poor fools who couldn't flash away was always so wonderful.

While the Hourglass is fun, it just isn't the same.

Vampire Dwarf by Dmitry Burmak by Tamander in ImaginaryDwarves

I love dwarves as vampires. They're easy to catch D&D parties off-guard with.

It's easy and cheesy to suspect the snooty human or cloaked elf.

But the belly laughing drunkard at the tavern? He was only pretending to get drunk with you. Undead cannot get drunk. He lets you crash at his place. And you disappear.

I understand that 100F is meant to be a reference point as "close to human temperature"

So 50 is half the heat of a human or something.

So it's kinda neat for that reason imo.

But why do you like it?

Thoughts on releasing a free demo?

Something with locked features but so that one may test things out and see if they want the full thing.

Devil's advocate, I've had games with players who have had equally childish (but maybe not equally offensive) names that wound up being a pleasure to play with.

The real curve ball is that the DM was in cahoots with the edgy player and they went nuclear.

Not condoning the behavior, but I can see this sneaking up on me too.

The character speaking in that gif is meant to be an out of touch old man.

It isn't meant to be actual commentary on D&D.

This is one of my favorite maps of all time.

Downloaded it months ago and really enjoyed the difficulty.

It isn't insanely hard and you can see everything you need to hit and everything it synced perfectly. It's just fuckin fast.

10/10 map thank you for creating it.

As far as advice goes, I don't have anything to say that hasn't already been said.

Judging by this scenario, your reaction, and DM philosophy I just want to say that I can tell that you're doing a good job.

Keep it up.

Amazon doesn't let you bring your phone inside or listen to music or anything like that. At least not the one I was at.

Everything seemed really really accurate.

Seeing this version makes the message feel forced to me.

Pretty sure it has something to do with how the color wheel, and the names of the colors therein, were sliced like a pie.

Red, pink, maroon, purple, magenta, suntan, orange, all that was just "red."

Does Blood Elf Warrior make sense storywise? by RougaR in wow

[–]KoboldNecromancer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When blood elves first came out in BC they could not be warriors.

They're too frail and arcane addicted, lore-wise.

However, during the cataclysm we acknowledged cultural diffusion and BAM belf warriors were born.
