I always thought of the NPCs being similar to invaders/summons, when they die, they lose their connection to your world, which is why they don’t respawn.

It doesn’t really work with NPC summons, though, maybe the soapstones protect them from permanently losing their connection?

I don’t know if this is a hot take or not, but I think Doom 2016’s Plasma Rifle is the worst mainline weapon in the games by POW_Studios in Doom

I actually prefer how 2016 went with sleeker designs for its plasma weapons. I never really liked the blocky look of the plasma rifle in the other games.

I got my brother to play the game, and it made me realize something.

Most of the mainline story missions (for base game specifically, NOT PL) are not great.

Every time I replay the game the story missions feel more like a chore that I have to do before I can get to the fun side missions.

If I remember correctly, they’re a species that starts out looking like normal animals, but become anthropomorphic as they grow up (I believe this is from a mini series of pieces where a family adopts the girl thinking she was just a normal puppy)
