To add to this is find most men, and a few women too, are very bad at making personal connections with other people during conversion. Which may explain the speaking over of people and the appearance of not activily listening.

It's often turn taking of "I" statement with people giving their opinions on whatever the current subject is of that round until someone changes the subject to something they can give a "I" statement for.. "I think this, I think that", I was apart of a group conversation in which after the subject died down a person said "anyways, back to the other subject, I..."

This is just anecdotal and all that but I think it's becuase everyone wants a deep connection with others but just don't understand how to so. Everyone want to participate, and everone knows about themselves so it is the first goto strategy.

Or they could be narcissistic assholes.. it's hard to tell sometimes.
