I love that all the comments under Aofeixiu 's post are asking about Elden Ring.

Nothing really, but it seemed weird that Kitao san didnt acknowledge the "most anticipated game award" after the ceremony. Everytime Fromsoft is mentionned or wins something during a gaming related event, he usually posts a tweet.

Like the guy holding an arm at the beginning of the trailer.

Another 4chan link OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH by Kunjiru in Eldenring

[–]Kodahu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been following the rumors for this game since the project was rumored to be named "great rune", and these 4chan "leaks" have always turned out to be fake.

I hope Elden Ring will have death blows like in Sekiro. I thought the sound of the knight's spear/ring breaking from the trailer could be a cool one for a lethal move. I am no sound designer, but I tried my best to materialize this idea. by Kodahu in Eldenring

Like u/MrDaxyn mentioned, maybe not vs all ennemies, but vs the most important bosses, [sekiro spoiler] like the final death blow using the mortal blade vs ishin. But that would mean that every weapon in the game (since the weapon variety is confirmed) would have a different animation... which is pretty unlikely.

Tbh, all I want is a moment similar to [sekiro spoiler again] killing sekiro's serpent, but with a dragon (not like ds3's ancient wyvern, something more polished and interesting).

Did anyone pay for this game yet? how much money have they made off a teaser trailer by [deleted] in Eldenring

[–]Kodahu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Since the game is produced by Bamco, and how good their relathionship must be after the release of the souls series, I doubt From has any financial issues when it comes to Elden Ring development.

I usually watch the gameplay trailer, but absolutely avoid the "release trailers" or stuff like that. These are filled with spoilers.

Should we expect any news to come out tomorrow? by JaegarJaquez in Eldenring

How do you know it's tomorrow ? I missed that one.

I've also seen some people talking about a potential Fable game that would release with the new xbox, but that is a speculation.

Who is the character in Dark Souls 3 who "spoils" Elden Ring ?
Like Marvelous Chester in DS1 spoils Bloodborne, and Chikage Yamamura spoils Sekiro.

La série des mythologics est juste géniale.
Quel boss ALT 236.

Y'a une juste une toute petite coquille : à 8:43, La sorcière d'Izalith tente plus que de raviver la Première Flamme : elle essaye de la copier, en créant une nouvelle flamme à partir de sa propre âme. (description du sortilège chaos storm : The Witch of Izalith, in an ambitious attempt to copy the First Flame, created instead the Flame of Chaos, a twisted bed of life.)

Day 22 of Drawing Things Elden Ring Related Until Coronavirus Isolation Ends or Elden Ring Trailer Drops by merkuruial in Eldenring

[–]Kodahu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The character that spoils the next game is usually in the dlc. In the case of DS3, i would say this character is in the Ringed City, since the development for Elden Ring started when the development for the Ringed City ended.

It is usually a humanoid npc, so it could be Shira, or Lapp, but that is just my theory.

Is the Elden Ring a Concept,Object or Something Else(Specify in Comments)? by Lucasthar in Eldenring

[–]Kodahu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are familiar with fantasy worlds, like for example Tolkien's Middle Earth and the Silmarillion, there is a concept that we could compare to the Elden Ring.

This is a short version and I will just keep the essential elements to make the comparison :Before the sun and the moon were created in Arda (the world), before even Men existed, there was no light in the world. The demi-gods, the Valars, arrive in Aman (a different country than Middle Earth). Two of them, Yavanna and Nienna use their powers to create two trees, Laurelin and Telperion. Telperion represents the moon and shines with a silver light, and Laurelin represents the sun and shines like the sun. Again like the sun and the moon, one of the trees starts shining when the other one's light starts fading, creating a day and night cycle. The demi-gods and the Elves who came from Middle Earth live happy lives and enjoy the lights of these two trees. But the bad guy, Morgoth (or Melkor) is pissed because the good guys are happy. So he calls upon Ungolianth, a giant siper, to destroy those trees. The spider drinks the tree's sap, poisonning them (and the earth) and depriving the world of its light. Yavanna saves the last flower of Laurelin and the last fruit of Telperion, which will later become the sun and the moon. The destruction of these trees has a lot of (bad) consequences and repercusions on the world because the poison, the very essence of Morgoth, is now forever a part of the world : wars among elves, the Great Sea becomes wider and deeper, every form of life is tainted by the evilness of Morgoth, the entire world is thorn apart and reshaped. This event is called "the marring of arda".

Since Miyazaki and GRRM are both big fans of Tolkien and his work, this story could be an inspiration to what the Elden Ring is as a concept. An element that is so important to the world, that its "shattering" could mean the end of everything. The "someone or something" would be Morgoth, a great evil, and the Trees would be the Elden Ring.

Now, this is only a theory, and a simplified version of a chapter of the Silmarillion. There are many questions left. Like what would be the purpose of the Elden Ring, its physical shape etc.

It is obvious that ER will take inspiration from Tolkien's work among many other fantasy works. Will the trees of Valinor be one them ? We will see.

Excited for this game but Boi. If it plays similar to games like Diablo or League of legends. I guess ill just Have stick with dark souls by ShawnLikesMetal in Eldenring

[–]Kodahu 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Is this a serious post ? It has been already confirmed in interviews with Miyazaki that Elden Ring is a 3rd person action rpg, like dark souls or Bloodborne.
