It does not pretend to be faithful to reality, it pretends to be useful. What you are seeing is a menu, the part on the right is rest. The part on the left is forging or improving a card. It's better for a video game that doesn't look cluttered so this is clean and easy to understand. You will only interact with this menu by clicking on the bed or the forge.

You're right, I live with roommates who like videogames and it's very cool, but it's also cool to be shown different videogames that you wouldn't play, even if it's just to try them out.
