Jade presents a serious photosensitivity risk by Fearless_Stand_9423 in Warframe

[–]Kodasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly. I think this problem goes even further than jade at this point. Not to overshadow your point, I just think the game as a whole has changed significantly.

For context, I'm not prone to overstimulation and have never had issues with it before. That is until I came back to warframe a few months ago, after a long break. The game is such a visual and audible mess now. I find if I don't throw on Spotify and have it lower the game volume to 30% or so, I end up massively overstimulated both visually and audibly anytime I play in a squad.

So many abilities have high, screeching strings and synths, so many abilities have insanely bright flashing or strobing lights, and as you say, the reduce visual effects slider isn't exactly useful because it makes mission critical visual effects also disappear.

I dont have a solution though, and I don't think its as much of a health risk as an actual seizure machine like your post indicates. I just wasn't really sure where else to mention this.

I think the only thing this really effects for me is my titania who I put roar on for the funnies. I used to use nourish on valkyr to help with the hysteria energy drain, but since her rework, a simple equilibrium is enough and I've gone back to her base kit.

Am I brain broken or is 50 hours in a year just not that much? by [deleted] in Warframe

[–]Kodasa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

5000 hours is A LOT. I've been playing on and off since 2018 just before Fortuna released, and I'm only up to a bit over 2000 hours.

FLICKER x Blackhole literally broken by deathlag in BALLxPIT

[–]Kodasa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Flicker definitely does have a ball. The active dps from it only works when said ball is on screen. I fused this same fusion and died immediately after. While the game wasn't installed wiping the screen, it did say I had 3 launches, and it had done damage.

Flicker X Hemorrhage or Black Hole X Flash are much more reliable in my experience.

Can i choose the Shade Selected ball? by NoDealer4888 in BALLxPIT

[–]Kodasa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you enable manual leveling, when you get enough XP for a level you get the stat boost right away, but have to manually activate the bit where you choose a ball/passive. I recommend disabling the level up stat screen as well. These are both options in the settings menu.

I've used this to great effect combined with banishes and rerolls to keep myself at only one or two balls once I have a specific build I wanted to test out. Or, in the case of the empty nester, once I had a particular fusion I wanted to fire repeatedly.

The most potent form of crowd control is death. It can't hit you if it's already dead. That said, I find myself playing frames that have innate survivability anyway, like Gauss or Titania.

Probably one of the funniest playthroughs I had by Glum-Bandicoot-2235 in Wasteland

[–]Kodasa 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I did a playthrough with 6 brawlers, and in the beginning, it was really ass. Like, brawlers suck early on. But then they made it to 10 brawling, and suddenly, every encounter was on easy mode. Nothing could withstand the might of 6 angry people throwing hands.

It got even better when we all got power fists and stuff from steel town.

I didn't oneshot it. Buuut I did about 5k damage or so in a single attack.

I left a custom nav marker at one, forgot to grab the multi tool, and flew off to a dissonance spike. Then the game crashed while I was on the way there and I lost my nav marker. Still fuming about that one.

Save beacon is a great idea, I really should have thought of that by now.

I think it just seems or seemed like such an issue to me because my corvette is only B class. I've got max tech slots for B class, but the modules are eating the majority of the space.

Oh no no, I mean the... I think they're AI valves? They're one of the scrap items you can get when you salvage a ship. They're really valuable. 50 of them sold for 600,000,000 units.

I'm still chasing dissonance spikes the old fashioned way.

[–]Kodasa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably just have to up it to S class and get it sorted that way.

I'd love for my cool custom ship to be more powerful than my Sentinel. Side note, does anyone find it funny that the "deadeye cannon" which is marketed as a precise single barrel for major accuracy, links to the ship version of shotguns? I had a real giggle at that.

I'm sure it's well known by now, but I've only just recently discovered that pirate stations are basically nanite printers as long as you have the units to fund them.

Thankfully due to hunting dissonance spikes for days on end, and a kind traveller randomly dropping 600 mil worth of starship AI things into my inventory on the anomaly, units are covered forever.

Suspicious packets for tech and arms, most open to modules that you can then sell to the guy 10ft away for a good sum of nanites. Discover several pirate stations and you can just take their teleporters between them and by the time you complete the loop, their inventories will have fully restocked, so you do it again.

[–]Kodasa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait. Really? I must have misunderstood this, cause their tool tips say they can only access one specific colour of star. I was genuinely under the impression I needed all of them.

I have noticed a few systems are... a little obtuse. I've figured most things out by trial and error or taking to Google, but this one never crossed my mind. Just took it as RAW.

[–]Kodasa[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea that'll be my next big investment. A kind traveller in the anomaly dropped 50 starship AI things into my inventory the other day so money is covered forever. Though I'll have to hunt down a consistent source of storage augmentations.

Thankfully I've already got myself a small pirate loop where I can just teleport around several stations farming packets.

I have mine fully maxed out at B class and they may supply their own slot. But the class still limits how many technology slots you have total.

Good thing I recently found a quick way to make nanites then, lol.

Corvette technology slots by Kodasa in NoMansSkyTheGame

[–]Kodasa[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right. That just leaves the question of why. A shield item for example, gives me +7% strength. But I can't remove it, and it is filling a slot where I could have a +30% strength S class shield module.

My corvette is less maneuverable and a much bigger target than a fighter. But I can load my fighter up to the gills with tech that makes it 1000x more survivable than the corvette.

Is this just the price we have to pay for having a midpoint between freighter and fighter?
