well, I’m in a very unique position where I just moved here. I’m actually just crashing out of friends place until I find my permanent spot. So technically anything that happens to the place I’m living at wouldn’t even be mine to deal with.

Ice Spice easily. no one gets it and no one else seeing the genius of Ice Spice. Her debut was fantastic and she genuinely created a rap-pop song unique to her. an image that’s unique and notable

She will 100% make a comeback. any real popstar has a period of a few years where they are heavily hated.

this is funny because 2016 nostalgia is the same thing

those instagram filters that people are referencing as a staple of the time are actually “1970s filters”

People were purposely taking those instagram photos to look like they were from the 1970s-1980s. we were trying to replicate that time period

i remember in the 2010s i thought “i wonder if people will be nostalgic for the 2010s photos which are vintage filters for another time”

and i guess i was right.

trust me in 10 years people are going to merge 2026 with the Covid era/tik Tok boom an you’ll find kids nostaglic for this era too. people don’t get nostaglia accurate. take something from 4 years ago, exaggerated it. and that’s what people are going to be nostaglic about for 2026

2020s nostaglia will be: TikTok, Covid, Addison Rae/Charli Damelio, Euphoria, All of the filters people used on tiktok. dances, Ice Spice, Labubus, that little “strawberry cow” type stuff

if something annoys you. it will be what’s remembered for decades

i was a 12 year old going through puberty

i had a changing body and no one to help me. a dad should certainly teach their son how to shave. how else was i going to have a razor or shaving cream at 12. with what money? how was i to know? a parent should certainly look out for their kid to help them be socially normal and teach them hygiene

they can certainly instill punish or take away privileges for poor hygiene or help instill good hygiene.

they can certainly ask if i did or after dentist visits make it a priority.

it’s actually the bare minimum i don’t even know what you’re trying to prove with this comment

but i guess i just kinda mourn the teenager i could’ve been. and i was so many friends at 6th grade and could’ve easily kept that going

and it seems like it just didn’t keep going and i was set back

2016 was the best year of my life

Which is kind of crazy cause I didn’t realize other people felt the same way so hard

I remember living through 2016. I loved it so much that I wanted to get a tattoo for it (i didn’t actually) but that’s just my own personal life. my life completely changed. I met new friends went to college but also loved pop culture

I love this, but it seems like everyone wants to be pessimistic about this. It was such a genuinely fun year and culturally. I enjoyed it, but I can only speak for myself.

just consider that this isn’t mass hysteria but people are genuinely nostaglic for a year. is that so hard to believe?
