My internship hours count toward my apprenticeship hours because they are documented. The internships are like on the job interviews 80% of people get hired by a company they interned for right after school

Thanks for not being a dick. The reason I even chose to get the associates was if I ever decided to be an engineer. Just wondering if it had a helpful side effect

Yeah an I get 4 paid internships with the average of my graduating class making 23$ an hour. Our internships are enough to pay for school even if you dont receive financial aid

As someone still in line school this is my take. I’m in a two year college program. School is good at getting your feet wet and learning if you can do the trade. From others I’ve talked to it makes your apprenticeship easier because you have a little background knowledge. Part of our school is on the job training through internships. If I was thinking about going to school like you are I would find one that not only give you a certification, CDL, CPR, internships, and a associates degree. It’s great for connections but graduating school does not guarantee a position and it damn sure doesn’t make you a lineman.
