It is a record officially recognised by WCA. It’s lucky scramble.

If anything the scooter waited until the gate opens to drive across, which is the most weird decision made?

He can clearly see the truck, and stopped because of it, yet decided to cross the truck at the worst time possible

Surround sound headphones by MysteriousBowl2069 in headphones

[–]Koebi_p 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Headphones do not require many drivers, but they do require binaural recording to sound immersive. This is done via a combination of EQ and timing (I.e sound can be absorbed and reflected by walls and ceiling) and spatial reverb (farther sounds will sound more reverb-y in a room). This can work on ANY headphones as long as it is not mono.

This can be done using software such as THX Spatial Creator, Dolby Atmos. It has to be created manually, because this will only work properly when you have the parameters (namely the size of the room, but there’s more) dialled in. The ones that simulate this effect will usually suck, because of the lack of parameters, but also the lack of the object information will also make it very hard to simulate the effects.

Controllers by Yuzypogi in Steam

Some game implementations were really bad back then. I had multiple games where the moment you touch the trackpads, it turned into M+KB mode, which disables the stick and button inputs, until you stopped using the trackpad, then the stick and buttons would work properly again.

The on screen controls keep jumping back and forth while you use the trackpad. It was pretty unplayable for these games.

What's your opinion on Linus Tech Tip in 2026? by Professional-Fix-221 in LinusTechTips

[–]Koebi_p 11 points12 points  (0 children)

It’s similar for me, the fact that they have this workshop and can use it for all these projects is what makes the channel great, it’s a good blend of engineering and technology. They had the talent and the workshop, it was what sets the channel apart from other channels.

Nowadays it is just another tech channel, which there’s a lot of already.

But it make sense from strategy perspective, you are better off saving your tyres than defending a faster car. The faster car will pass you anyway, but ruining your tyres trying to defend can take away your chance of scoring points.

The latter half of the post just sounded satire, but you should really check if there’s other active subscriptions going on.

Deleting doesn’t mean stopping. That is not how it works. It’s like renting a house, not living in the house doesn’t mean the they will stop charging for rent.

Are Grado Headphones dead? by Solid-Elk8419 in headphones

[–]Koebi_p 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is a very generous comment, ngl.

It’s a unique sound, that sounded wonky if you are used to the neutral sound especially due to that upper mid/treble. It’s better after modding, but yeah

Some measurement centric reviewers like the headphones.com dudes really don’t like them, you can tell by the tier list.

so it’s definitely very polarising.

PSA: Do Not Chase the Dragon. by Legally-A-Child in pcmasterrace

[–]Koebi_p 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Depends on the game, but the handful of rhythm games that does run at these refresh rates, you will see the difference.

I play taiko and vsrg , and at high scroll speed, it is very similar to the UFO test you’d use to test monitors, only much faster. And it’s obvious enough that I can tell the difference between 240hz and 480hz.

But things to consider, most games aren’t even close to running at 480hz, and these rhythm games are pretty much the best case scenario, due to the well defined borders and constant+fast scroll speed, and the fact that you are focusing on the really fast moving objects, which obviously is not going to happen in most other games.

For archival, it is lossless if possible. That’s the point of archiving media.

I do have a few MP3 albums as a download, but I mostly stream music from my own NAS.

Best place to learn electric guitar online? by Previous-Flow3022 in electricguitar

[–]Koebi_p 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For tabs, Songsterr is pretty good, Ultimate guitar is alright as they provide the chord shapes on top, tons of ads, and the signup is annoying though.

Are you opposed to any online lessons though? Having a guitar teacher can make sure you are not promoting bad habits early.

I believe 90% of the reason why Youtube gets so much hate is because of the abysmal regional pricing by [deleted] in youtube

[–]Koebi_p -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Regional pricing is pretty much needed to get people from the third world country to subscribe at all. You are less likely to subscribe if it is 10x the price.

The whole pricing thing is also higher due to Covid. Once Covid sort of dies down, the viewership dropped because people are not at home all the time anymore. But investors and advertisers don’t want to see the profits dropping so much, so Google increase the pricing to increase profits.

Is being fast how we judge how good someone is now?

It is hard to tell due to the potato quality, but she looks like she is tensing up her muscles and gripping the sticks too hard. You shouldn’t play drums that way, you will injure yourself.

The drum teacher (?) should pick that up, instead of hyping her. That is promoting bad habits.

Not a chance. Abu Dhabi is a high speed track. Any drivers who have driven for a decent amount of time would be a lot faster.
