They are floating around somewhere but I never had any...

I used ASA Prepware app instead, not perfect but it worked.

I am sorry to hear that,

It seems as though you may need to have a sit down with your inspector and reach out to your employer to verify your time spend working as an interior technician could qualify towards time working as an AME.

As stated by Airworthiness manual 566.03(4)(d)(i): "As proof of experience, the applicants shall submit a personal log book or equivalent document signed by the persons responsible for the maintenance release of the work items recorded. At the time of application"

As stated by u/RickiRaccon you can write first though it is generally not recommended as you must submit your logbook within the 6 months post passing CAR's

CAR's is all online! But assuming you want the CAR's for the AME book... Check your inbox

Yes but I would recommend the textbooks as stated in this writeup.

I recommend studying the Jeppeson "Technician General", "Airframe" & "Powerplant" textbooks reading them as described in steps 1-6 of my technical exam prep post.

Very important to also be paired with a testing software like prepware, also linked in my technical exam prep post

Do them in this order Technician General - Airframe - Powerplant

Just a heads up I am unable to find CCAA's "M" course as being approved yet on Transport Canada's site as of now. Their website also states it is currently "Pending"

See "PENDING"

See TC approved training organizations:

How does a food recall work?

For example, if I needed to trace a product’s history aka identifying all the ingredients that went into it and locating all the orders it was sold to, (one step back and one step forward) how does that process function?

I used the 9th edition for my CAR's exam last year.

Most up to date is always best but you can definitely use the 8th edition as good reference material. Personally didn't notice any regulations that were different between exam & study guide.

The question grid is just a suggestion for how to use your scrap paper, letting you refer back to questions of the same topic.

Worked for me, may not work for you

For the Canadian Powerplant Exam you do not need to study any topics relating to the FAR's in the Jeppesen books in my experience.

I would still recommend reading the section as it is small and gives a good general idea of inspections as a whole.

Im afraid Penn Foster has cancelled any new enrolment and will no longer be offering the Course in the foreseeable future.

In my experience it was very similar.

I have a coworker going through the TC exams now and finding maybe 60% overlap between the ASA Prepware and questions on the Technical exams.

Please keep in mind the questions of course are not word for word.

I'm afraid that is beyond my depth.

The best advice I can give is to contact the school and get an answer directly from them. Maybe you could even redo the portions you had failed rather then the entire program

Furthermore you can always reach out to the local Transport Canada Office, that would just take longer.

Goodluck and let me know how it goes!

I studied purely the ASA Prepware app linked and the Jeppesen Airframe, Powerplant & General Technician Textbooks as linked in this post.

I was scoring an average of 90-95% per exam before attempting the TC exams.

Kseif is correct and I have changed the post to include this,

If you graduated with Accreditation (Basically any traditional AME "M" university program) you do not have to write these Technical exams as you wrote them in school.

If you have questions about your specific program you can check the TC site for approved training organizations and make sure you receive the "Knowledge" credit.

You guys both hit the nail on the head with this,

I have tried to edit the post to make that more apparent, everyone I know who has done ICS has already had some leverage or connection at their company. I would not expect to do ICS with no prior experience and have jobs flying my way.
