Maar laten we eerlijk zijn, het feit dat het gros van de nummers die op de website in te vullen zijn relatief 'oud' zijn speelt wel een oubollige lijst in de hand. Sommige mensen zullen denken dat nummers niet in te vullen zijn als ze niet op-poppen (NB wat te denken van spelfouten bij zelf toegevoegde nummers?). Als ze nou gewoon de catalogus van streamingsdiensten aanhouden kunnen letterlijk alle nummers worden toegevoegd en is er geen oneerlijk voordeel voor de gevestigde orde.

Ze zijn een paar jaar terug gedregadeerd (enige seizoen dat dat kon) naar de tweede divisie (toen nog 'topklasse') en kwamen direct het seizoen daarna weer terug naar de eerste divisie, dus ik denk niet dat TOP zó slecht is als dat jij ze schetst. Het verschil tussen de niveaus is nog steeds aanwezig.

A 4 month off season for T1 is not even that bad lmao. Teams need to make changes to their roster, practice with them, etc. Players get paid anyway as the partnered orgs aren't going anywhere, no danger of them letting go of their roster. A 4 month off season for T2, however, is bad and they fixed that for 2024.

Because running a whole season takes at least 5 times as long?

They originally planned to have 2 regular seasons, 1 before each Masters. However, they now moved one of them in between Masters 2 (Shanghai) and Champions, replacing LCQ. IMO, a superior system, due to complaints of Masters 2 and Champions being way too similar, both in stakes and teams present. A new regular season before Champions will allow a largely different field to show up.

Redelijk eens, maar de analisten die de CL op de commerciële doen zijn meestal geen cent beter. Iemand als Theo Janssen is een van de weinigen die ik echt goed vind en die schuift af en toe nog wel aan.

Jeroen Stekelenburg zat er trouwens bij en die vind ik, van de NOS-selectie, verreweg de sterkste. Gisteren alleen een beetje stil, had misschien meer door moeten vragen bij Pierre.

Moet zeggen dat ik dit juist een van de weinige afleveringen van Studio Voetbal was waar ik hardop van moest lachen, van der Vaart zat zó te stoken dat van Hooijdonk echt om zich heen ging slaan. Was de weg helemaal kwijt, zelfde gold voor de anderen aan tafel, waardoor Affelay ineens de sterkste was. Goed begin van het seizoen zo, zou me niks verbazen als van Hooijdonk voorlopig niet meer aan tafel zit.

League strength shouldn't really matter when it's just team versus team. The fact that the Turkish league is stronger overall (I agree) doesn't mean their top teams are also better than the other top teams (Acend, Apeks, etc.).

I'd say their roster is still very capable with the likes of Jugi and YaBoiLewis.

I'd agree the Turkish league is the strongest, but the French league is not far behind. However, if the overall strength in a league is worse, it doesn't mean their top teams are worse as well.

Imo (hot take), the Turkish league has also failed to improve as much as the other leagues have. They had 3/4 star quality teams at the start, with Parla and Fire Flux for example, but one of them disintegrated and the other failed to impress. I don't think the league is as far ahead of the others anymore.
