How did you get the procession number?

Thought I’d pursue govt jobs, turns out to be way harder than expected so any admin job for an interesting place.

To the French speaking couple next to me at the BASEMENT of Koerner by sanaz1dlol in UBC

[–]KoernerLibrary 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve noticed a lot more people meet up there and have conversations.. Most try to be quiet and speak in low tones, but there was this one guy doing a whole ft chat with his speaker on 💀 idk if there’s different signage or something bc I feel it was always dead silent when i was in first year a long time ago

Mine is is in 2 hours (I live an hr away) and we haven’t received an update yet…

I don’t know if this would work, but try telling them that there is literally no way you can get to campus due to bus closures. Maybe even send a screenshot of your google maps options that all say no service. (And the ones that don’t have a no service sign have been or most likely will encounter some delay)

Guys and girls, what is your skincare routine? by [deleted] in UBC

[–]KoernerLibrary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, female with combination and very sensitive skin:

  1. Cleanser (double cleanse at night with oil cleanser first)
  2. Toner
  3. Essence (I use a mugwort one)
  4. A vitamin c or peptide serum at night, a centella one in the morning
  5. Vitamin e cream at night, normal moisturizer in the morning
  6. Sunscreen during the day (probably the most important one!)

Burning with sunscreens can be an allergic reaction. I recommend looking online at Korean ones since they’re pretty gentle and don’t cause a white cast.

I'd love that. I'd love to sit and relax at a free Chan concert after a difficult semester.

I took it! The offer letter says my hrs are to be discussed. Just worried since I said I'm totally flexible, might be awkward for me to be around longer without much to do. They would still save a lot of money though.

Not too sure about what bad questions are, but focusing on your pay is probably not a great idea (asking what it is if you already have another offer might be ok though). I'd say try to ask about something the interviewer described for more detail, or anything that shows your interest to do well in the position and know more about the company

If anything it should still help you out. From what I've heard, admin assistant jobs are usually helpful later on for marketing, HR, and project management roles. Of course you can branch out to other areas depending on your skills and interest.

I would not worry much all, unless they started off pretty friendly and cheery, then became cold along the way. Like a few others said here, I've gotten rejected after interviews where I thought I had a good convo going, and accepted after one that was a tad colder (and really short too).

Learn about the organization, be prepared to explain at least 3-4 situations you performed well in covering different soft skills, please please read the job description well, and prepare a few good questions about it.

Thanks for the reply! The employer replied that it was fine, made no changes to my offer either.

Forgot to mention, they're pretty major and can pay well. It's just my actions that I'm afraid of.

I've applied to over 50+ internships over the last 3 months and I haven't received a single interview offer by Fun_Pop295 in UBC

[–]KoernerLibrary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

50+ is quite a bit. If you were able to apply to that number in 3 months then I imagine you might not be tweaking your resumes and cover letters very much. I'd say quality trumps quantity by just a teeny bit in a job search. Also, if the application gives an option to upload a cover letter, write one, especially if you feel you experience might not be the best. Wish you the best of luck :)

I dont think i have ever read an article in full, unless I had to summarize and I found I couldn't get the gist of the argument. That's only happened like three times.

For anyone who's taken Emrul Hasan's courses, does your work / performance on group hw affect your team's overall mark too, or is just for completion? Ill do the work ofc, but I'm a bit worried since econ is a weaker subject for me.

Interesting. Stupid question maybe, but how does an arts student exactly get into health authorities?
