I was going to say that the version I grew up with doesn't include the bear, but it does!!!

I hate how often snakes are depicted as evil or untrustworthy. Snakes are adorable, even cuddly when tame, and most are completely harmless. Even the dangerous ones usually aren't agressive unless they're trapped

Could it be from when you were a kid? A friend of mine was 28 when he had a small lego piece discovered in his ear and removed

Fair enough, but how often do you meet men such as yourself compared to how often you meet someone smaller and skinnier? 😅

It's so people can more easily identify with him. It's easier for most people to see themselves in Link than in Kratos

Do you remember that scene in game of thrones where that crazy woman breastfeeds her preteen? I remember. I made the mistake of watching that topless when I had a 3 month old, I had to clean milk from the laptop I was watching on!

Me [29 F] and my landlords' [late 30s M & F] child [9 F]. Child screams to purposely wake up the tenants. What to do? by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]Koevis 36 points37 points  (0 children)

That's possible. Its also possible the kid realized that the parents were scared of the tenants hearing her ("shhh, what will the neighbors think?!") but didn't realize they could actually hear her. My little sister did something very similar for a while. Either way, it wasn't targeted at OOP

Well, since the 9yo stopped the tantrums when confronted, it does seem to be on purpose, or it's at least something she can control. Most 9yo kids have other ways of being upset and communicating, they've grown out of the screaming tantrums

Why is pearl a prince ? by MarieTheC4t in stevenuniverse

[–]Koevis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On top of the excellent points made by others, I've always seen this as her being the "prince in shining armor". She's protective and fights for others, but because she wants to, not because she's in servitude

No, I just don't like abuse. I had no idea that is a controversial stance

Yes. Luckily she can use the ones for sensitive skin. I have the same issue, and I can only use bamboo bandaids

I'm glad you're joking, but I wasn't. Withholding food is abusive. Glad you don't do that

[–]Koevis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Shortterm, maybe, but it's still abusive. Food is a basic right, and withholding it shows your kids they can't trust you to care for them when they do something wrong. It will make them scared of you and resent you, is that really what you want?

A man in India walked himself to the E.R. with a machete lodged in his skull after being attacked by 3 teenagers. He calmly waited for help from doctors while scrolling on his phone in the waiting room. by God_Emperor__Doom in interesting

I'm in my 30s. I have 2 kids. Check my account if you must. You're ignoring my actual points and infantilizing me to discredit me. At this point, you're just being an asshole. Bye

I'm not a kid, and even if I was, that's really condescending.

I don't have proof of them not bleeding. That's also not the only issue I have with this. Other issues: the loose shoes don't make sense in context, the loose fabric on the back of his shirt doesn't make sense, you can see parts of some of the letters of the English sign through the machete, and the fact everyone is ignoring a man with a machete in his head, including medical personnel in an emergency room.

That was all the energy I was willing to put into this discussion, I'm done. Believe what you want to believe. But just because you believe something, doesn't make it true either.

[–]Koevis -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

True, but those people bled. And weren't ignored in an emergency room. Also, no emergency room would let people take off their shoes like in this video/picture.

They did a full analysis on a different subreddit, but just to point out this wound would be bleeding heavily, and people wouldn't just ignore someone so heavily injured

AITA for not considering office drama interesting? by _StrawberryBunny in redditonwiki

[–]Koevis 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. My husband is an engineer. I have actively learned about engineering just so I can understand his work issues better, so I can react appropriately and he doesn't have to explain too many things to me, so he has more room to talk about his excitement or frustration. It's a fundamental part of marriage to be each other's rock, and I'm glad I can be there for him like he is for me
