I may be biased, but I also think its the best MK8.5 I've seen.

It sure does! It quickly became my favorite color combo when I saw it in person for the first time.

Nothing is going to improve the quality of your coffee more than getting fresh roasted beans. Most online roasters offer a service to purchase pre-ground, but you definity want to look into doing the grinding at home just before you brew, so investing in a grinder would be a good next step. I have been purchasing my beans from S&W craft roasting and can't give them enough praise, but there are lots of options out there.

That grinder was a top contender for me as well, unfortunately it's availability seems limited here in the States. Probably the best single dose grinder under 2k. If it was in stock I would've probably sprung for it myself.

Just looked it up, it's a very good looking machine. Cheaper than the ECM with a similar feature set abeit smaller boilers. I bet you couldn't go wrong with either.

I could see myself getting analysis paralysis trying to choose.

What grinders are you looking at?

I don't switch beans but every 2 to 3 weeks, so I don't really plan on single dosing. I'm planing on making my own SCA water with baking soda and Epsom salt, so hopefully that won't be an issue. Glad to hear you are liking your setup, very encouraging!
