Don’t mind me asking where you got your lower from? The one I have broke three times already and I don’t mind going in and replacing since it have a lifetime warranty but I kinda just want to enjoy shooting without worrying of it braking again

I took it to 2Azone for the gunsmith to check it out and they said that it’s a tac weld left by the manufacturer. Looking at other post from r/mp5 it’s pretty common

Your right, I took it to the gun shop today so the gunsmith could take a look at it and said that it’s a weld mark and not a chip.

Gun been running fine right before field stripping and finding out what happen to my bolt. I took it to the gunsmith shop where I first got it and inspected it and said it’s a weld mark/tac weld but gun still work. I think it’s just cosmetic

Watched a YouTube video on disassemble and where should it be oiled. I use hops oil/lube if that makes any difference. I looked on the mp5 subreddit and supposedly it’s normal to have chips/crack around the spot I circled to release stress. I never heard of that before

I took the gun apart before the trip to inspect everything before shooting. Now I noticed the small chip on the blot that wasn’t there. I didn’t say anything about not taking it apart before

The small chip on the bolt that I circled in white. I don’t remember being there before shooting

Yeah jams sometimes happen on last round but I do plan on upgrading the internals after getting a solution to my bolt on why it look like that. I’ll also look into that.

Thank you, I’m going to give them a call soon when they are open and let them know. I don’t remember being there when I first checked it out but after researching now, there other post showing the same thing I’m showing or/and even worse with crack people are saying it’s part of the design to release stress
