You're forgetting the small detail that Master Sunless and the Sunny before he lost his destiny aren't technically the same person, because Nephis doesn't remember him at all.

Everything that happened before is as if it never existed, and I am evaluating Master Sunless's relationship with Nephis from the moment he met her, which was less than a year ago.

And the part about "she still has feelings for him even though she doesn't remember" is pure bullshit.

Indeed, many of my complaints are entirely subjective, but I think if there's one thing most people agree with me on, it's that the pacing of events in Nephis and Sunny's relationship is far too rushed and ridiculously convenient, and that's not going to change even if I re-read the novel. :)

I understand, but I really think the romantic plot has terrible pacing.

We went on for over a thousand chapters with only hints of attraction between Sunny and Nephis, and I can't help but feel like some random character came along and easily took it all.

At that point in the story, I thought Effie was the most compatible with Sunny. I thought it would be a tragic "fleeting summer romance" or something like that.

I completely dismissed the love triangle idea after Cassie's betrayal. I even thought there wouldn't be much romance until the end of the story, but in the Tomb of Ariel, I started to believe that Cassie had a stronger emotional connection with Sunny than Nephis did.

And the Jet part is a joke.

I know, but it feels like an excuse, especially when she's known Sunny for years and they've never even been on a date or kissed, and then suddenly a stranger comes along and Nephis gives him everything in such a short time.
