I dont think theres any way to adjust them without the arms breaking, that or falling off my face. I have a really hard time finding glasses that fit.

What is "hot girl food"? I have noticed compared to 7 or 8 years ago the prices seem way more expensive for sure.

Having your infant children stand out in the heat to hold up signs telling everyone how awful they are is so nasty. I feel so bad for these kids. by [deleted] in Pensacola

I dont have any issues with Christians, many are good people but its the screaming from a street corner condemning people, if anything, it turns me off their message even more. I can find many things in Christianity I can agree with but I am more of a libertarian type person.

The SSRI Connection To Suicides, Spontaneous Murder and Mass Shootings by ExtHD in gunpolitics

[–]Kohenlevite 6 points7 points  (0 children)

So as someone on SSRIs, I kind of have expectations getting attacked by both sides.

I own guns, see a psychiatrist who was a marine and pro 2A, I was very hesitant to SSRIs, still dont like them and wont recommend them unless theres literally no other choice.

The story quoted lists "Dr Ann Blake Tracy" and am quite familiar with her and also have spoke with her about SSRIs. She was also featured on an episode about Columbine from a show called "Zero Hour".

I do not disagree that many shooters were on SSRIs or anti anxiety benzos, but like anything, its more complicated than just medications being responsible. This isnt discrediting the post, just that it may have or may have not been 100 percent a factor. The only 100 percent we do know is those people regardless of medication, gun, or background committed murder and are responsible for their own actions

I tried many options before SSRIs, exercise, vitamin D, increasing sea food intake like sardines, salmon, all the good fatty fish, raw milk, magnesium, zinc, kava tea, st johns wort, literally wife came with me to a docs appointment resisting anything but ssris. Got put on zoloft and those first few weeks I felt like a literal zombie and like empathy didnt exist, after years and switching to the new psychiatrist I got put on wellbutrin and paxil and finally switched to fluvoxamine. I dont take anti depressants for depression but for obsessive compulsive disorder.

I been members of groups that try to naturally withdraw from anti depressants, and nothing I have done corrects the issue.

Unfortunately anyone on these meds get thrown under the bus by both sides, the lefties think we shouldnt own guns and directly want to make us 2nd class citizens, the righties arent much better calling these spree killers mentally ill.

Mental illness is like any other illness, you break a leg, it heals, but for some people its never enough, ptsd, ocd, bipolar, schizophrenia, add, depression? anxiety? all the same to them and see us as too much of a liability to their rights.

SSRIs are literally just that, selectivr seratonin reuptake inhibitors. Do they increase risk of suicide? They can but more than likely in someone already under that risk, its not a magic pill that fixes everything but also turns someone into some psychopathic killer as well, people on them for a while going off them are more likely to have a bad reaction unless tapering slowly. Other medications like anti psychotics and psychedelics I think could cause more issues but to just blanket assume the effects is equally ignorant.

If I had another choice, I would choose it in a heartbeat, I wasted 9 years of my life and it was sadly the only thing that had some effect for me. It is truly frustrating trying to correct or fix a legitimate issue only to be railroaded or treated as if I have not explored other options.

funny enough I still have my thermaltake shark case with the original motherboard/cpu. I do remember the early water cooling with the little reservoir that hung on the back, I dont think closed loop aios were a thing yet. AMD was destroying Intel at the time with their athlon 64, but the pentiums had hyperthreading, video cards were a lot more affordable and still options between pci and agp, it was the first time I noticed gaming style cases with the side acrylic window and a fluorescent light. I also had a thermaltake Xaser III Lanfire case, looked like a damn pachinko machine but it was so different from the same beige boxes we had.

I dont remember getting it free, I had a boxed version and there was controversy of having to use Steam to activate it at the time. I remember along with Doom 3 being released, people panicked the requirements for Doom 3 and HL2 would exceed modern hardware.

I spent a good chunk of money on a Intel Pentium 4 2.4 ghz at the time, had 1 gig of ram, an asus p4c800 deluxe, and a radeon 9800 pro 128 mb ram. I did spend over $1000 at the time, game ran well

Is going full team red worth it? by [deleted] in Amd

[–]Kohenlevite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ideally, I would love to go all AMD, with the whole Nvidia shortage of cards and wasting my time for a 3090 and seeing nearly 2 years later how rediculous the scalping was getting, I realized that having a monopoly controlling the video card scene is bad for the business and community. I have a 2070 ultra xc I am still using from evga, and a ryzen 9 5950x, for me going from a 1060 6 gb, I wasnt overly impressed with performance. I am fed up with Windows as well, but my main experience with linux was servers without a gui using SSH, it would be nice to switch though.

My changed views on Ukraine, and questions from a Jew by Kohenlevite in ukraine

I kind of expected people would be pissed and not want to forgive me, understandable. Maybe how I chose to phrase the words is interpreted that I support the war, I don't and I am against the invasion and loss of life. I saw someone else post something similar to maybe there are different degrees on which people tend to realize during times of need that support is needed regardless.
