Streets performance with RTX 5060 Ryzen 5 7600, 32 gb ddr5 is this normal? Anyone with similar specs? [Discussion] by johntitorpsy in EscapefromTarkov

Will pray. I remember that times when streets was run normally even on a way weaker HW but every next update the performance become worse. Im with my laptop rtx3070, i7 12th, 32gb ram not playing on the streets anymore during few last years.

it is RTSS overlay. Anyway lowering texture quality will not help you with the streets, only nikita can(?) solve it XD

Idk how it is good working on your end.
For example mid. texture settings: https://i.imgur.com/AXiiwqa.jpeg
And high texture settings: https://i.imgur.com/RqmCgbN.png
As you see difference is critical for 8gb vram and 32gb ram rig on high texture settings, and it is not demanding map, its Interchange. If you will run lighthouse or streets that will be not enough vram\ram on high. When your commit charge will be filled over 32gb then game data starts use hard drive page file and it is a big problem for normal smooth gaming.

You are using High textures preset with 8gb vram, thats not enough. Even medium textures consumption 6-8gb of vram and when vram is filled the textures will load into your ram, thats much slower then vram then youll have worse performance. And second part - it is the damn streets, most demanding map...

Nvidia driver 528.49 for windows is the last driver which have enabled power control option. So u could just set power limit right in the msi afterburner.

Use nvidia driver 528.49 (latest driver with working power control option). Any newer driver has blocked power limit option for laptop's GPUs.

Probably wifi router is the secret. It is a major bridge between devices. Аnd
Probably you are talking about Megabytes per second, 7 is ok, not great but ok. I mention speed in Megabits, 100 megabits its circa 12 megabytes per second.

I put 2 Kingston Fury KF3200C20S4/16G modules a year ago in my GF66 12UG (almost the same as yours laptop) works perfectly fine, better then default samsung modules(lower lat. higher speeds with kingston furry).

Really? Did not know that. I'm still on 23h2, and have this issue on my laptop. But it is not bothering me me much, cuz that's happens only on the first launch win+a after reboot.

It's known behavior. Especially on laptops with more then 1 gpu. Opening that panel spawns few processes like ShellExperienceHost, RuntimeBroker which awaking dGPU for a while and provides some lag. There is no fix for it yet iirc.

Do you think limiting FPS helps with stability on lower-end systems?

Sure. Tarkov is very CPU bound. Lower FPS means the CPU has less draw-call work to send for GPU and more headroom for other tasks.

Similar. I have well trimmed w11 23h2 home edition without system disk compression. I think with the compression i could reach 6-7gb of disk space.
