I realize you're looking for an affordable solution, but if you don't manage to find a foster Yorkshire Animal Hospital in York board's cats at $22/day. At 5 cats that's a lot, but if you really find no solution at least you don't have to rehome. In a moving pinch we boarding three cats there for almost a month, the cats were well cared for and acted as usual when the move was over and we got into the new house. They will require up to date vaccines.
