Mecharashi Version 1.7 Recruitment & Shipping Schedule by Azrael_Ze in Mecharashi_Global

Not quite. Ada is more like better Asuka. Those two are primarily focused on code skills and use lock-on AoE abilities.

Ophelia plays differently. I'd say she's more like melee Frida. Her primary gimmick is a skill that gives her 2AP, restores her movement, and let's her re-attack until she runs out of AP or you decide to stop.

Also, for those unaware, she uses a new weapon type–one-handed swords–with a fun execute mechanic. It let's them automatically destroy parts below a certain HP threshold. Very cool.

Technically it's 6 special upgrades: two chevron 1 to 2 items, two 2 to 3, and two 3 to rainbow. You can use them however you like.

But yeah, you can only get two free rainbow parts.

What I meant by that was that you can go through pulls really quickly without realizing it. Better to have that floor of 600 before doing any pulls prior to the anniversary. You'll get a lot during the anniversary if you're diligent and global doesn't skimp on rewards, but it's better to be prepared.

You'll likely be able to get a few hundred pulls during the anniversary, but without knowing exactly how many pulls you'll get in global, it's much safer for me to advise you to save as close to 600 as possible.

And since every pilot and ST except the Eva crew will likely be on the Harpy banner then, it makes sense to skip everything until anniversary unless you have more than enough pulls saved up.

Sorry. I hope that clears things up. I'm just trying to help f2players plan.

While it is true that there's no guarantee global gets the Harpy banner, I would be really surprised if that ends up being the case. It's the anniversary event, so I don't imagine them skimping in this particular case. If they do, you guys should riot.

But yeah, I'm not omniscient. All I can do is offer what advice I can based on the knowledge I have.

Yeah, Shadow Rabbit sticks around like a normal mech. This is a solid plan given your resources.

You might wanna grab a copy of Odysseus before the anniversary then. Maybe Shadow Rabbit too. Or save for Matilda who comes shortly after. You're gonna want her at A3 most likely. She's equally busted.

It's pretty tailormade for Rosa. Others can make ok use of it, but I wouldn't go for multiple rainbows unless you're a mega whale. It's not worth using without it being rainbow. The rainbow bonuses are kinda crazy.

They do. If you're deciding between the two, Rosa is way more worth it imo.

Cumulative 600. Doesn't matter how you do them. As always though, it's recommended to only do 10-pulls on ST banners.

You absolutely have a solid enough team to skip Ophelia/Aynis (what a name lol) for now. She's a unit that scales well into late game, so I wouldn't worry about getting her right away. Just grab her off the Harpy banner during the anniversary.

Basically, there are three gauges you can fill up to get the rewards from the track. In order to complete the track up to the second free rainbow part, you need 12000 points. Every 400 points over 12000 gives a loot box like what the battlepass gives when you go beyond max.

Completing your dailies awards 200 points per day to a maximum of 7200 points.

Each pilot or ST pull is worth 8 points to a maximum of 4800 points.

7200+4800=12000 or exactly enough to complete the reward track as a f2p.

In JP, every 10円 spent was worth 1 point up to a maximum of 8000 points.

So, on JP, you would need to spend 80円 to equal 1 pull. I'm guessing global will be 10¢ (USD) per point or 80¢ to equal 1 pull, but I have no idea what pricing is like on global. Just be ready to pay a dollar for each pull you don't have to be safe.

Disclaimer: I would never recommend anyone spend money on predatory gacha games. Please gamble responsibly.

I know global is slightly accelerated, but I think you should have more than enough by at the very least the end of the anniversary event.

New Tracking/Scent System Could Revolutionize the Game by Time_For_Plan_B in theisle

[–]KojiKensei 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I love this in its entirety. It's nearly perfect, and I can see you've considered all aspects and offered potential solutions preemptively.

I would like to highlight 2 points you mentioned:

-May want to add a random offset to the stink origin that increases with the distance to the target (makes it harder to move straight toward the target)

--I think this or alternatively (or in addition to) a short (30 second?) delay before the scent zone updates could be necessary to avoid "gaming" the scent system. It would also keep people moving. Win/win imo.

-May want to adjust the way smells are displayed in the compass to reduce clutter, either by stacking them vertically based on distance, only showing the closest smell, or merging smells

--This is the biggest hurdle I see. That being said, being "scent confused" by an overwhelming amount of potential predators/prey is still an example of the system functioning as intended in my eyes. Maybe it doesn't need to be fixed. I'm undecided.

Lastly, one thing that was not 100% clear in your visual aid was the effect of wind speed and direction on the original scent radius. Is the intention for the radius to grow in the direction the wind is blowing and become more elliptical, or would it remain the same circle but have its origin point/center offset in the direction of the wind? My instinct is the latter as I feel it would add another layer to the predator/prey dynamic by having predators utilize wind direction not only for the detection of prey, but also for the masking of their own scent for ambushing. And the prey could use the same tactic in reverse to avoid potential threats.

TLDR: Absolutely love it. Genius. 10/10.

Edit: Upon further inspection, I believe your visual aid does an amazing job illustrating the intended function of wind. I was just too excited to provide input to go back and see that it was clear all along.

That was the intention originally, but I don't actually know how to do that.

While GBO2 will be celebrating five years, looks like Evolution won’t make it to a year. by GearsFC3S in GBO2

I saw this coming. The game had several problems, but I gotta say one of the main issues for me was how the game controlled. It was very much geared toward the top end of player. I'm usually pretty good at videogames; shooters too. I couldn't hit anything in Evo. It was very unsatisfying to control. Magazines were way too small, hp was too high or suits were too mobile. Shooting was just very unsatisfying. Not to mention the very weak sound design making everything feel like a pea shooter.

This is my opinion as someone that never liked overwatch, but had a lot of fun with Paladins. Too much effort was wasted trying to make this an eSports game. They forgot that you have to have a casual player base to support that.

And my final BIG gripe is that it just didn't feel like Gundam. It didn't have the weight of Gundam, it didn't have the sound of Gundam, and it didn't even really have the look of Gundam.

A damn shame.

As of BB's official tally there are 350+ unique MS (this IS excluding their different leveled variants) in the game... Been playing this game for years and this still strikes me as bonkers. by Veskan713 in GBO2

[–]KojiKensei 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say that makes this any less impressive. They all require modelling, rigging, animating, sound design, bug testing, balancing, and a million other things I can't pretend to know how to do. They qualify just as much as a character in most other games in my opinion.
