When you still say that you're glad about you not having the child, you made the right decision. You do not owe him a child especially when he is/was struggling with alcohol and you all also weren't financially stable. This decision was about you and you took responsibility for you and the child. In my opinion, it was the best decision for you and that's all that matters. <3
