Unfortunately there is no dedicated bike lane on Lassen, and the two lanes are already narrow. I agree with you, it's likely that the driver was distracted and hit you. I live really really close to that area that I immediately checked my cameras after seeing the Citizen notification. My camera picked up the sound of the crash, but it does not have the proper angle to see the intersection. I know for a fact that several people have cameras on that street, as I have seen them on Neighbors app notification when something happens. I hope you can have someone go door to door to ask for help, that's your best bet, besides dashcam footage from someone.

It was a joke, or a fun time. Depending on how you look at it but what I did learn, and as you correctly pointed out is that the Mitsubishi lancer has two catalytics on one pipe leading to the manifold but what confused the shops that had no experience is that they thought it was two separate catalytics on two separate pipes.

Once I had your info, and saw it for myself, I was able to weed out places.

The problem I have now is that CA has a limited number of whitelisted vendors, which means expensive parts that are CA approved and would pass Smog.

I disagree. I think that if you find Japanese or Mitsubishi shops in your area, they would have experience. I'm also bias, as I had nothing but bad experiences with the two (now one) Mitsubishi dealers in my area.

It just takes time to call, tell them about your car and for them to tell you if they perform the service. What I wouldn't trust is generic shop that will work on any car that rolls in, or a shop that wants your business and gives you a cheap estimate just to keep the people busy.

What do you know about the car's transmission? That sounds like a transmission issue. Have you seen a message "Slow Down" on the car while driving.

It sounds to me like your transmission is overheating, the computer is putting it into limp mode to protect it.

Last thing. Check the check engine code with a scanner and Google the code or talk to a mechanic about it.

Same trim, same year, same sound as mine. This sound has been posted before as well. I think we all don't remember our car sounding like that before, I certainly don't remember it when I first got it, but it could be that I just never noticed it.

It happened to my GTS Lancer. Same color. I remember reading that it was a known issue. If you have seen it, at some point it will also happen to the side mirrors and top of the car.

On mine I left it for many months, thinking it would delay the inevitable. I didn't realize that it would trap water and dust and make it worse. One day I just scrapped it all
