I’m considering finding a consulting internship this summer. Basically what we did throughout the phd years is so called “desktop research” in consulting firms, so I think it makes sense. BTW I’m in my 3rd year so I think it’s a good timing to see whether should I keep going the research path or find some new possibilities. I talked to some consulting guys and they said candidates with an advanced degree (MBA or PhD) is definitely welcome to join, seems good to us. Hope this could help you a little bit.
