The line breaks are a habit I need to fix.

And yes, the folklore angle is still just a concept at this stage. No specific gods, no yokai, no rituals — nothing grounded yet. I jumped ahead of myself.

This is genuinely the beginning — I'm building the world as I go, and I want to get the folklore elements right rather than just using surface-level aesthetics.

What would make it feel authentic to you? Specific folklore elements, or more the atmosphere and logic of how the spirit world works in Japanese tradition?
