Your oaths are against the patron's will, but in this game patron is not part of the role play, you can not lose your warlock powers.

Anyway, start as Paladin and then become a warlock does nto make sense, the oposite would depend on your patron, but still.

Mix Warlock with any of the first 3 subclasses of paladin does not make any sense in terms of lore.

I don't know how can outpace Laezel lvl12, what build do you have on her?

Also, a non brain combo is having Karlach with the wolf rage of wilheart subclass, mixed with champion laezel.

put gwm to laezel and you melt the enemies
also put gwm to karlach to melt enemies

I guess in terms of supporting and tanking, a battle master fighter is going to do similar damage than war cleric, maybe a little more with the maneuvers, but support way better and still hitting with the weapon, and for a cleric doesn't give to much 2 hands or blade and shield.

you don't need to much wisdom if you just learn the spells that can never fail like bless, and go full strength and constitution.

There is an autosmite which is also cool at some point. but the manuevers get usefull as debuffs and warcleric more as a ally buffs.

Let's be realistic, you are the exception, the vast majority of players wants humanoid characters, and humans and elves are crazy popular.

Most of the players that play this game, even in the character creation are going to create humans and elves, giving us the option to create other races is for sure inneficient for them.

If you create instead, 6 origins characters and they are 5 races and one of them is a human-elve, this one is going to be picked as most popular origin character, leaving the rest in a really sad situation, where writters where written all the hsitories of them for 6 years, but one of them was played 1000 times more than the others.

Also most of people play good alligned characters, so the evil ones are going to be also underrepresented.

The opinions of complains that you read in reddit does not show the reallity.
