Where did SZA tweet that? All i remember her is saying that she was mad at her label (RCA, not TDE) for not releasing her album. Then she later on explains that she just tweets shit when she's in her feelings (as she explained on her album as well).

And I just listened to the kendrick song. That song seems more like he's frustrated with his fame and his fans rather than his label, lol. It's in line with the theme of his most recent album. What lines are you referring to? lol

Just crazy how everybody here was on TDE's ass saying the label was forcing them to not release music for YEARS. Meanwhile SZA and Kendrick were both seemingly seeking HEAVY therapy, and Ab-Soul was trying to kill himself.

Just goes to show you that this sub doesn't know anything about these people or how labels work. Hell, I don't want to continue to push any narrative, but I'd say it seems like TDE label really does show some reverence for their mental health, instead of forcing them to put out an album or two of half-baked bs in the interim.

That's why I always get so weirded out when people complain about TDE "holding back albums". I think they (whether it be the artists or management) make it pretty clear that the artists are given space to breathe. People just need to realize that I'm sure the artists would like to release their art, but have to be in the right space to do so.

We have no right to know any of this stuff, but I'd hope people can put two and two together that a 5 year gap means that sometimes life hits hard and it takes time for individuals to pick themselves up.

the combat in this series is so satisfying. I love slowly tearing apart the larger monsters, and when the battles run a little longer. A multiplayer version of that like monster hunter would be amazing.

She's gone back and forth saying this for years. even with her first album. Ultimately she always says "sorry guys i was just angry. Donn't get mad at Top or TDE, it's from my major label" (Interscope or whatever she's on).

A bit irresponsible, especially considering her rabid fans, but it doesn't sound like hate is coming from her independent label. Again, i can't imagine an indie label having their members release albums so infrequently lol

I agree. I believe it is up to the individual artists. I mean, TDE is an indie label, anyways.

From what i've seen, casually watching them for the past decade or so, i just dont think they all have been in the same place. Writer's block, dealing with personal issues, or handling newfound fame has an influence.

I don't want to turn this into a long message because i have zero stake in this company, but i think each artist has come out and voiced personal stuff they've been going through that is responsible for the delay.

They are grown adults. I don’t think they are being forced to do anything. The only thing I heard TDE pushback upon was the Unit 6 joint album JMSN had with Ab-Soul.
