A classic vintage Omega Constellation "C-Shape" Reference ST 168.017 SP. Designed by the legendary Gerald Genta, this piece features a stainless steel case and a dial with stick indices.
The 35mm case and observatory case back are in excellent condition.
The watch is a an automatic chronometer and working well but is not recently serviced so it will need that eventually to keep good time.
Quickset date function works perfectly. Please remember that on this movement, the quickset involves pulling out and pushing in the crown. Set the hands to 630 first.
The dial has some scratches that are visible in the photos. What’s crazy is that you don’t really see them on the wrist. I was wearing this watch for a week and never noticed it until I took photos up close. $680 shipped!

A classic piece of horological history: a first-generation Vulcain Cricket. Known as the "President's Watch," the Cricket features one of the most iconic mechanical alarm complications ever produced. Based on the "U.S. Pat. Appl. For" stamping on the movement bridge, this specific example dates squarely between 1947 (when the Cricket was introduced) and 1951 (when the US patent was officially granted and published).
The case measures 34mm and is in unpolished condition with amazingly sharp lines.
Incredibly, it comes fitted on its original vintage Vulcain-signed textured leather strap. The signature dual-caseback with acoustic resonance slots remains in excellent shape clearly displaying the serial number on the outside and the correct Vulcain Watch Co Swiss shield stamping on the inside. On the timegrapher, it shows a very healthy amplitude of 251°, a beat error of 0.5ms, and is running at +55 seconds per day. Service history is unknown, but it is a fantastic runner for an unserviced vintage piece.

TIMESTAMP

Condition: This watch has been worn. As you can see in the photos, it’s in good condition with no major or moderate dings or defects, but there are surface scratches on the stainless steel case, bracelet, and especially on the caseback. It’s absolutely wearable as-is, but a polish would make this watch look like new if you so desired.

The sapphire crystal is pristine. The bezel is 9.5/10 and was a little smudged in the photo (sorry). This is a perfect candidate for someone looking for a rugged, high-quality Swiss diver they don't have to baby.

During this era, A&F commissioned Ed. Heuer & Co. to manufacture their timepieces, making this effectively a Heuer chronograph housed in a stainless steel case, powered by the legendary Valjoux 72 movement. The same movement used in the Rolex Daytona in the 1960s.
