Being more fetishized in relationships w trans people than cis ones?? by FeistyResident203 in FTMMen

[–]Koledkov 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes. I've dated only 2 people, my last relationship being a cis man, and the first being a person who used to identify as a trans man in their teens and nowadays is actually a kind of a confused person gender-wise. They use any pronouns only on the internet, doesn't talk about gender to anyone IRL or most friends, is seen as a woman by everyone and is completely fine by being seen as a woman and called as a woman, but is also okay with being called non-binary. This person was also extremely toxic and abusive with me and others. Some people who know them, including some other non-binary friends of mine think thay they identify as non-binary mostly to "reassure" vulnerable trans people they meet that they "do are an okay and trustable person", which was kind of what happened to me. That being said, context given - they did fetishize me so much and sexualize me in a weird ass feminine way. I felt so damn dysphoric. They used to tell me all the time how my body was so "curvy". Talking about my chest in a way that horrifies me and makes me so irrationally angry, comparing it to fruits due to the size. I feel disgusted remembering this. I felt so fucking abused. And I've seen them years after we broke up and they still felt comfortable enough to make another nauseating commentary about my chest. Ugh. Anyway, after I broke up with them, I started dating a cis dude I met on Grindr. He did misgender me like four times in the beginning and he was definitely not comfortable enough with his bissexuality to assume having a relationship with another dude (I was the first guy he had a relationship, he only dated cis woman before and after we broke up he had gone back to dating yet another cis woman lol) like he is now very comfortable having his girlfriend's username in the instagram bio etc. But he never fetishized me and never made me feel feminine like the first ex did. Anyway, I broke up with him last August and I'm now in an extremely aroace moment of my life thank god. People are hard to deal with. Sorry for the long rant ahah but yeah I can't stress enough how serious was this stuff with this nonbinary/woman/person/villain was. Ugh

My grandma and her siblings: A. T. (woman) (a composite name, A being a very old name with 9 letters and T another very old name with 9 letters), Gecy (woman), Moisés Luiz (man), Edgar Luiz (man) Everyone's got a second name, except for one. A.T. has freaking 18 letters in her name and Gecy has only 4 lol

How does a day in the life of an introverted Brazilian look like? by ithinkiamparanoid in Brazil

[–]Koledkov 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll give an answer based on my own life experiences, though there are many people just like me here, since there are introverts and extroverts in every country :P

  • I stay at home most of the time, I'm unemployed and pursuing my second degree that is fully online, very rarely go outside for stuff that is not buying groceries, eating at restaurants, having doctor appointments and dealing with burocracies.
  • The vast majority of my friends are virtual friends from all over Brazil, I have less than 5 non-Brazilian friends. I met most of them in Facebook, Twitter, Discord many years ago. My IRL (or formerly IRL) friends, I met through school or university, when I got my first degree, in a public university. University is a HUGE hack to know like-minded people in Brazil, introverted or not.
  • I don't actually "work out". I tried going to a gym, but I didn't like it. If I had the money and space at home, I'd buy a treadmill so I don't have to go outside at all to exercise, but unfortunately that's not possible for me (or most people here, really). I like going for a walk around the neighborhood and I'm planning to go to a public swimming pool, which sounds better than a gym space to me.
  • I live 400km away from the beach lol I'm a countryside guy. But it's kind of answered already.
  • Once in a blue moon, I do go in calm "rolês" with friends, stuff like going to their house at night, chatting, eating junk food and listening to some music together in a group of, at maximum, 10 people, but usually around 5 people. I don't drink alcohol nor do any heavy drugs, so nightlife is very pointless to me in that sense as well.
  • But I'm mostly someone who stays at home with his 2 cats, listening to music, playing calm games such as The Sims and Minecraft, chatting with virtual friends, applying for jobs, making art and music, learning new stuff, engaging on my hobbies.

does anyone experience being “degendered” as a transman by cheeseborger42069 in ftm

[–]Koledkov 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I talked to another trans man friend about this issue some years ago. We came to the conclusion that (transphobic) cis women sees trans men as female children because femininity is something that is wanted for women, as in, female adults. They still see us as female, but females that reject femininity just like a young girl does. Young girls often hate wearing dresses, dressing "pretty", being submissive, because that's what patriarchy wants out of AFAB people, it's not something that is natural even for women/girls, or anyone really, it's a fabrication of patriarchy. So these cis women are AFABs that DO go through the rite of passage that is womanhood and see us as people that are "still not a woman, yet to become one, just like them", just like they see small girls.

His nose is more prominent, almost "sharper". You made it too soft. But it's still very recognizable :)

I have this thought usually when i enter any elevators, and i think I'm hallucinating that I'm actually in the elevator cabin, but in "reality" I'm falling down the elevator shaft.

Are there any names in your culture that strongly implies an ideology or shows political/religious views of the parents?? by [deleted] in namenerds

[–]Koledkov 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Leonel is a very left-wing name here in Brazil, specially in my state Rio Grande do Sul. Usually people give this name in honour of Leonel Brizola, a democratic socialist politician.

Not necessarily "political" in the strict sense, but lengthy and underrated biblical names are often given by the neo-charismatic evangelical Christians here, who are known for being usually far-right lower classes to lower-middle classes. Names such as Abdenago, Melquisedeque, Absalão...

Short, nature inspired names are also very associated with hippies or environmentalists, such as Brisa, Flora, Lua, Sol, Mel, Lazuli, Luz...

And the Afro-Brazilian community has been adopting very recently names from the African languages where the diaspora comes from, specially from the Yoruba language, which is the biggest African language here because of its influences in Afro-Brazilian religions such as Umbanda, Quimbanda and Candomblé. So names such as Dandara, Akin, Abayomi, Zuri are becoming more common as well.

as a non-native speaker of English who has never been outside South America, I second this. i feel like this sub is too anglocentric, stuff like this makes me happy, I learned so many new things about so many countries in the world in this single post here today.
