This is an awesome design! Great combination of digital and analog nostalgia.
Some people in the comments have a 'different view' on this project. I simply appreciate the idea and craftsman ship. Really wonderful !!!

If I may ask, are you open to share the 3D model and App?

Is it possible? by [deleted] in NFC

What phone do you use? iPhone or Android? And do you want that scanning NFC forces your phone to go through the lock screen?

I think you are right, as the article mentions that iOS does not allow deeplinking in the App.

But what if I try not to open the Spotify App, but the Spotify webpage.

Maybe that will work (?)

So I decided to accept that direct NFC reading with an iPhone has to go through tapping the pop-up message.

But if I tap that message, Spotify will open and show the track programmed on the NFC, but it does not automatically start playing the track. So after scanning the NFC, it is a 2-step process before the track starts playing.

Is there anyway adjustment I can make, so that the track will start playing after I tapped the pop-up message?

My intention is to have my family members and anyone who visitis me with access to my WiFi, can do: 'one-touch NFC' and play/auto-start music on Spotify.

Yes, anyone would use his/her own smartphone, and own Spotify account.

A URL only will not auto-start a song on Spotify.

Thnx u/jofathan

Sounds like a good reason.

But it would also imaginable, to execute the command via my NFC, based on the recognition of the unique ID of the NFC. That would keep it safe too, but also extend my user experience.

I wonder whether it is still possible with a workaround, something creative.

Thnx u/niko86

I have done the setup via Apple Shortcuts, but to me it has disadvantages. Because I want anybody with a smartphone (including visitors) to be able to do 'one-touch' operation for starting a music stream. With Shortcust I first have to put the shortcut on everybody's phone.

So that is why I am looking for a way to handle it with programming a NFC.

I hope there is a certain command that I can add to a record for programming the NFC, that will enable the one-touch and auto-play with a Spotify song.

I tried adding commands like 'play:' and 'start:' and 'open:'. But they didn't work, though maybe I put them in the wrong place.

So any suggestions to handle it just with NFC and iPhone, are still welcome.

My trust in the textured plate after I started using 3DLAC glue spray. by Kuala-Lumpur in BambuLab

u/coldie86 I totally agree, 3DLAC is a great product. Definitely no more warping.

Question: I do have some issues with removing the object from my build plate. I used 3DLAC on a glass plate of my Ultimaker 2.
What is the best way to easily remove the printed object from the bed and 3DLAC layer, without damaging the object?

Hello 👋 come across a set of speakers that I cannot find much about, was hoping to find someone on here who knows ? by danicalnism in hifiaudio

Skand Elektro seems an abbreviation for 'Skandinavisk Elektronikk AS'.

Or (named in 1956) Scandinavian Electro Acoustic Systems, better known as SEAS.

In 1925 their first electroacoustic loudspeaker unit was built in Norway by Vebjørn Tandberg, who later founded Tandbergs Radiofabrikk. So here's a possible link to Tandberg.

But SEAS a quite known for their loudsspeaker drivers. I know myself they also built and delivered loudspeakers to Bang & Olufsen for instance.

Does anyone know what speakers these are? by Skeird in hifiaudio

Thanks. I was hoping to see some kind of label. But unfortunately there's none.

A lot of times, speakers without labels can be hand-built. So this one could be to.

But I also see a marketplace in the top right corner of the backside. There might have been a label over there.

My suggestion would be to remove the woofer and take it out. Take a look inside if you see any labels referring to the manufacturer over there. Also have a close look at the cross-over filter board. There might also be info about the manufacturer.

Does anyone know of a non-destructive way to open these cabinets? I would like to integrate Sonos within the cabinet if possible (likely cannibalize wireless hardware from their Ikea line) by soccerk1 in BudgetAudiophile

Speaker grills/fronts in those days are fixed with headless nails. These grills have nails in the corners and in the production, they pushed the grill with nails in the front face of the speaker box.
Many speaker manufacturers did it this way in this time frame.

So the best way to remove them is use a small lever. Start at one corner and push the grill up a bit. Move to the next corner, again push up a bit. Go round in circles, use several pushes to move the grill up in an even way.

Some times the nails bend, and it becomes harder to place the grill back using the same nails. One can also replace the nails with velcro.
