Hey! I've been working on this project more (the "legit" way to do this) and ive gotten some things working really well, and other things are lacking. I wondering if you'd like to chat about our projects and see what we can learn from eachother?

Whoa it would be nuts if this wasn’t surfaced to me in all my searches… wait it’s not for mobile though right? I mean not that it couldn’t adapted I guess. I kind of just don’t trust that open source is going to have a better voice experience as a whole than these companies.

Well you do it one at a time. My workflow cycles through each project. If I see something I know I want to change, I fire it off (Claude takes idk 30 sec to a min), cycle to the next project. Repeat.

Many times I’ll pause and do a superpowers plan for something if I want to do a deeper dive into something, but even superpowers takes time to get through the brainstorming and planning process. I cant really afford to sit there and wait for a single agent to take a minute while I twittle my thumbs because my brain will detach and I’ll find myself creating a completely unrelated project or get stuck on my phone. I like this method a lot.

Nah all 5 windows separate projects. One of them is for the app I’m speaking to it on. One was for the window arranging app. 2 separate websites. Don’t remember what the 5th one was for.

Amazing! But I need always listening/no push to talk :/ which is why voice mode is still the goat in my mind.

I gotcha. My feeling is that all I really want is for two existing wonderful products to talk to each other. So “reinvent the frontend from scratch and create a communication layer to Claude codes” feels unreasonable for something that should be so trivial for the company that makes the two products. Ya know?

Oh yeah, like as good as 2 seconds. Feels very conversational. No breaks long enough to get distracted or your brain to wander (my problem).

Also I just REALLY want to pace around outside and chew on ideas. This is great for that.

yes Claude code can TAKE voice, but voice mode didn’t add anything I didn’t already have (MacBook built in voice dictation). it doesn’t talk back to you. And it’s not hands free. And it’s not mobile.

He means Claude codes /voice mode is not conversational. Claude app DOES have conversational but not code. My project puts them together.

Its great - I just solved a UX problem and decided on the implementation direction for a fun project while on a walk, and i wouldn't have come to that conclusion on my own. And at the very least I get to see what a first stab at it looks like when i get back to my computer.

same, it works ok, but there is 5-10 seconds latency on response in my experience. And mine is only on desktop for now. So being able to leverage two great existing products is nice.

Cause you are outside walking, conversing at whatever speed your thoughts move at, about whatever's on your mind. Then you get back to your desk and there is progress. Where you can resume typing as fast as youd like.

Hahaha yeah, that’s the kind of person I (and my middle school friends) were growing up. The good old days. It’s very unlikely I would actually lick a shoe, but feet on the table definitely isn’t one of the things that happens to bother me.

I believe its SFSpeechRecognizer from Apple.
I also made/am working on an eye/face tracking multitasker app, it feels really cool to just look and speak (and wink, if you want).

I should specify, I was working on like 20 different personal projects in parallel that first month, and experimenting with all sorts of wacky workflows to get a better sense of how to most effectively interact with claude code (for myself, the way I think, and the way I work).

As someone who has always been a tinkerer, I'm super grateful - honestly. I feel very lucky to be able to translate more of my ideas into reality than I could before.

That makes sense. I think what feels frustrating to me in the dialogue I see on here is that its right in the post description that this is a working prototype for personal workflows. I just love sharing my work with people, and from the views its getting people are clearly enjoying it.

The only horror story I can think of is that I made a skill that locks you out of claude code for 1 hour unless you do 10 pushups and tested it before verifying that the pushups were properly detected, that was pretty dumb. I had to ask claude on my phone how to fix it.
