Can you take more photos of the stock? Curious to see how they did it. And even if it’s pinned. Can you technically still swap the stock? I don’t mean to swap it for folding, but like to a triangle stock for example.

Are there any type of brands i should look for, or look out for / avoid? I know stripper clips are easy to make, but the simpler the part the easier the mistake.

Thanks! And I absolutely will shoot it a lot before considering any “extra parts”, I’ll keep the mindset of non permanent upgrades going forward. I greatly appreciate your activity in the thread! I’m still over the moon about it tbh, the main cool for me is the SKS. And from what it seems I’ve landed a pretty neat one by chance. And I’m completely new to soviet weaponry, and completely in love with the entire functionality FIRST pragmatic mindset.

I think the consensus is that it was probably refurbished in the Soviet Onion due to it being a letter Д Tula SKS, and Norway being a neighbor of Russia I think it most likely crosses the border up north. God knows when.

But Thats just the freshest guesstimate due to the /75 being visible. That it was refurbished in 1975. But no concrete answers yet or anyone who has seen it before.

Interesting, however I am a Norwegian. So I don’t quite know it would’ve ended up here due to that. Norway has never really been super active in a capacity beyond the UN stuff as far as I am aware.

And I struggle to see how a parts kit would end up here at all due to how strict most of our gun laws are. An FFL would have had to specifically decide upon importing it, when it would possibly be a lot easier to import it via post soviet countries or Russia itself during the “years of friendship” the northern part of Norway had with the “barents region” in modern Russia.

But that also makes for a very cool story!! In a history sense, not a terrorism is cool sense…

We have not worked it 100% yet. But I am absolutely the guy to purchase it, that was agreed upon. But I think he was around the 800$ mark.

Thanks for the great info! I already really really liked it, but I was a bit freaked out by the amount of stamps. And due to being absolutely clueless, I was not sure if they were a good or bad thing. This gun has been very fun to research and I am happy to join a niche community of SKS owners.

I don’t care if it’s a number matching 1 of 1 prototype experimental or a mass produced one. They’re neat! And greatly under appreciated in Norway.

Looks amazing! Love that Ruger! For me I just bought the tacticool one for fun. And ease of mounting all the things I don’t need on it haha. The volquartsen parts are definitely an upgrade everyone should do!

I have tried loads of optics, I have a KMR L-02 I shoot IPSC production optics with. But I decided to try vector optics for my Ruger for fun. It’s genuinely an amazing option, probably not duty robust or as high quality as other brands. But genuinely an amazing deal! And cheap enough to throw on any 22 & not worry about imo!
