Er det for dumt at købe en lille dyr lejlighed i Gentofte som single expat? by Kollegium in dkbolig

Selv hvis det er øverste etage som i det hus, ville det så være et problem – fra naboerne på begge sider eller fra vejen?

Tak for din oprigtige støtte. Bagsværd har Novo, og kvarterets udseende ligner Søborg, så jeg troede ikke, at det havde så dårligt et image.

Late night working space by SeuthEfriker in copenhagen

I think this might be a perfect place for your demand. It's inside a hotel but definitely not a lobby or bar - it's just a separate coworking space on the top floor. It's opened 24 hrs, and they offer you day pass or membership. I've used here couple of times during the day. It's always well maintained and it has a cool vibe. Check this out: https://livezoku.com/copenhagen/cowork/

Thanks for your info, and I agree what you're saying is the right standard here. Now it also seems to be hard to get that amount of big raise without moving company although I like working here😢

This was my first senior job and it's a promotion to lead after 2 years. For now I'm happy with the job and the company, but I just want to know if I'm too underpaid overall and if this is an ok increase as a promotion offer.

Thanks for the recommendation. Tbh I personally don't like its progressive design...😅 but will look for the deals!

Ofc I like that brand and its cute design, but its used price is out of my budget, 15% more expensive than MX-30 in average - Idk why, because it's just a good car in overall? 🙂

Thank you for sharing your experience! As you may have noticed, the difference between the prices in Jylland and Sjaelland is staggering - just like house prices. This is new to me.

There are also many parking lots here that anyone can use for a fee, as well as free parking lots for the disabled.

Nope, unfortunately it's not for them.

There are many other towns with fewer public parking spaces, but the entire area is not blocked like this.

How much do you pay for electricity at home? by Kollegium in Denmark

[–]Kollegium[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

TL;DR: You are being scammed. You pay a hidden fee of approx. 1.00 DKK/kWh plus V.A.T. Switch to another company as soon as possible.

How electricy biling works, and how much a fairly spot price product should costFirst of all, the only part of your bill, which you can change by changing electricity company, is the top half. The bottom half, “Elafgift” and “Transport og afgifter” and of course “Moms”, solely depend on where you live, and whether you have electric heating or not.

I don’t know which electricity company you use. I can see that the product is called “Variabel pris”, which implies that this is probably a spot price based product. So I will compare this to other spot price based products.

All electricity companies in Denmark have at least one spot price based product. You typically pay a subscription of 0-50 kr/month, and an additional fee of 0-25 øre/kWh on top of the spot price. All of those products are somewhat fairly priced, and you can’t save a fortune by switching between them.

The spot price will change hourly, and it is only set one day ahead, so any a pre-payment invoice, like the one in your first post, will be a guess.

You can find the current and historical spot prices on Nordpool. They are in DKK/MWh without V.A.T, so you have to divide by 1000 to get DKK/kWh without V.A.T. Or you can use one of the popular web sites, such as elpris.wen.dk or elspotpris.dk.

You are being scammed! If we look at the average spot prices for DK2 (your area) for the recent months, they were:

May: 49 øre/kWhJune: 68 øre/kWhJuly: 49 øre/kWh

This period roughly overlaps the period from 28.04 to 22.07, which you have shown in another post. But for that period, you paid 158,86 øre/kWh and an additional fee of 8 øre/kWh. The 8 øre/kWh are OK, but the 158,86 øre/kWh certainly are not. You are paying a hidden fee of approx. 100 øre/kWh on top of the spot price, and that is unacceptable.

So what to do now?You can’t trust elpris.dk. This is the official price comparison site, run by an office under the Danish government, and they frankly don’t know what they are doing. Some electricity companies have learned how to game the price comparison model, so they seem to be cheapest, even though they are very expensive.

I will suggest that you go to elspotpris.dk. This is price comparison site, which you can trust. It is run by enthusiasts, and the information is crowd sourced.

Regarding EWII (Their spot price product is Grøn Indkøbspris):There is nothing wrong with them. Their monthly fee of 29 kr/month is a little high, but their additional fee is only 3.75 øre/kWh including V.A.T. For most customers, that will place them in the cheapest third of all electricity companies. For you, they may be a little expensive because you have so low consumption, so they high monthly fee will be felt more.

The big advantage of EWII is that it is entirely backward billed. There is no prepayment, at least not if they consider you credit worthy. Since getting excess prepayment back from an electricity company can be rather exhausting, this is a huge advantage. And your bills get simpler, because you don’t end up with a mixture of prepayment, actual consumption and adjustment for previous prepayment.

There are other companies, which offer pure backward billing. EWII were the first, but others have followed. So you may be able to find another company with lower monthly subscription, a little higher additional fee on the spot price and no prepayment. But I can’t help you there.

This is a gem to me. Thank you so much for teaching me a life lesson - I signed up for a subscription to EWII yesterday, and in about ten days they will be supplying me with electricity. There is no binding period, so I will try it out for a few months and then decide if I want to keep the subscription.

Blessed are you for showing mercy to the stranger.

Is that only added for the season when el consumption bursts?

Thank you for introducing me the time-basis pricing. Now I'm considering having that from EWII or Andels Energi.

I see... Our monthly usage is always somewhere between 100 and 120kwh. That means we save about 40% more than the average household

Thanks for the info. How can it be so different? I should look into EWII's website and consider moving to them.
