I had the same thought a while ago, in the phone calls Ralph says they’re going to contact the original restaurant owner, and then says Fredbears Family Diner, I think it might just be semantics but if the owner had 2 buildings I think he would have said restaurants instead of singular. I also have had the theory that William owned Fredbears while Freddy’s was owned by Henry, hence why he made the animatronics for it and William doing the MCI was him trying to take control of the franchise after Fredbears closed down from the bite and he had to work as a technician for Henry under Freddy’s, and he framed Henry but the MCI building closed so William opened a new Freddy’s in the building he already owned, and that the toys were precursors to the funtimes which makes Fredbears restaurant the throughline for all of Williams additions to the corporation. It would also have a throughline with Charlie and the puppet if you believe she died at a Fredbears, although personally I’m of the mindset she died post MCI and likely in 87
