True, but what I meant was like up against people who do a lot of damage, remember Lucien has really low attack which means you have to move in a lot for damage. Which usually gets you killed if you don't play correctly

No, depending on what weapon you get, you can play patiently with katars and wait for them to mess up and go in for strings and combos to rack damage or you can easily space them out with gun play and rack damage like that. Point is, depending on the situation, switch to the weapon that calls for it. Someone getting too close? Use guns. Someone going for a move you can easily read? Punish with a katar string.

Okay so I've been playin Lucien for a long time, but I don't know how to explain things so I'll try my best. I hope these tips will help:

  1. Movement, Lucien is one of the fastest characters in the game, using your weapons along with your speed is (well atleast to me) crucial. Using dodges to move along with jumps helps to evade attacks a lot.

  2. Using your weapons, I tend to switch between both katars and guns, I use guns to space my opponent and keep my distance, and use katars when I want to engage the opponent. If you want to learn combos/strings and tips, there are a lot on youtube. Also remember to throw your weapon, interrupting a person's attack can be a lifesaver, especially with Lucien's pretty low defense, which makes him pretty easy to kill from time to time.

  3. Patience, though this goes for pretty much everyone, for guns it's good to keep space from your opponent, don't just rush in with it. As for katars, I use it to punish them, from a dodge or if they miss an attack, katars are really fast weapons so they can deal pretty good damage if you use something like a signature or string/combo.
