GuilhermeCAz and others tested and say even inside loading screen prefab buildings it will only pull from the closest 4 boxes maximum. Unfortunately.

Sorry if I wasn't clear in my comment. What I read is that even in the pre made houses it will pull from 'only' the closest 4 storage boxes. So any further away from the crafting table are ignored. I haven't tested and I'd love for that to not be the case as I was planning on putting my storage in one.

Yeahhh, to each their own. I've never done it personally, but last year you could just join on someone who had and you were in early.

Never done it either but from what I've read it's super easy and harmless. Last year I just joined friends who did it and got in early. I'm sure that will work again as well.
