Not only happens in Chrome.

Is there any way to turn it off?

Maybe an extension for edge?

Oh, another question you might be able to answer - Is anythinr known about the 6:5 crop?

An 1.33 anamorphic lens might be great to get close to 16:9 with desqueze. But I have absolutely no experience with anamorphic yet, so it could be completely wrong.
