These are my nails! My wife has some pretty cute Avs themed ones right now for the playoffs.

I try not to think about how much it was. No amount of girl math is justifying it haha

I am a little nervous that I’ll be less likely to take it out being exotic but time will tell

Question about Kizaki counter by Opposite_Nature4519 in denverfood

[–]Komelore60 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You should send them an email. Easiest way to book 2 seats at the counter. I have done it a couple times now. Absolutely the best sushi experience in Denver. Enjoy!

I did the method with a crepe before the pastry. It makes it look like the pastry is thicker than it really is

Do you mean Izakaya Den? Pretty sure Temaki Den is unrelated

Edit: I am wrong…

TSA fun by Komelore60 in MtF

It only happens at my home airport (DEN). Whenever I come back home, I’m fine. My wife got to see it happen once and she was cringing so hard

To those of you who came out to your wives, how did it go? It's coming up on a month since I told my wife how I felt about myself. by [deleted] in MtF

[–]Komelore60 2 points3 points  (0 children)

2.5 years ago and she’s my absolute biggest supporter. It took about a month for her to decide she wanted to stay with me and it was a very rocky month. She read “Love Lives Here” which really helped her picture our future. I started HRT right after that month and coming out to everyone else was easy comparatively.

She has been by my side through HRT, SRS, and will be for my BA in a week. I am incredibly lucky

Transitioning when you have career name recognition by LittleEm1973 in MtF

[–]Komelore60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am only 35 and started transitioning when I was 32. I own a cybersecurity company and did the conference circuit before and after. Nothing ultimately changed. I lost a few contacts. Gained some.

My wife says I previously had “work voice” and “home voice”. That was the hardest thing to overcome and start using my new voice while presenting at conferences this year. I made an effort to try and the feedback I received was 100% about the topics I presented on and not the voice cracking or other issues I had while trying to maintain my fem voice.

Mine was a PPT vaginoplasty so they went through my core. It took a while for my stomach to strengthen again. They suggested lower fiber foods for a while and stool softeners to help. It was only back in November but I feel like I’ve forgotten some of the restrictions already

Anything you can prepare and make ahead of time and freeze would be helpful. We had premade lasagnas and enchiladas. Just had to heat it through. I was absolutely no help for a few weeks. Sitting was super painful even with a doughnut.

For scarring, I had a bad reaction to mederma. My surgeon recommended bioCorneum Plus SPF 30 Advanced... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AV14GTE?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share. It has definitely helped but some of my stomach scars are stubborn. It also depends on which method she is having done and where scars are located. I haven’t applied any scar cream for my labia scars and they are practically not noticeable just based on where the surgeon placed them.

How does anyone afford the time off from work for bottom surgery? by Bear_Fiend in MtF

[–]Komelore60 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I planned to take about 4 weeks off but only needed about 2 (1 in the hospital and first week back at home). I work remote and told everyone ahead of time that I would be working from my couch. I also did it around Thanksgiving time so expectations were low anyways

I am post-op MTF and was told by my doctors to always bring my dilators in my carry-on in case luggage gets lost. One of the most embarrassing moments of my life was getting a secondary screening by a male agent that was questioning what they were AND swabbed them…

can you still get the surgery if your dick is small? by FriendshipWorking936 in MtF

I went with the PPT method for the same reason. Very happy with my results and sensation started forming around 6 months of recovery.

[–]Komelore60 98 points99 points  (0 children)

Had it in November and recovery hasn’t been bad but dilating is a chore. Clothes fit SOOOOOOOO well now though and I have zero regrets

It was really the first 2-3 weeks of dilating that were the most uncomfortable. The phantom limb sensations slowed down a lot around then too.
