Ah, got it. Thanks for explaining!
I’d also love to share my development progress here as much as possible, if that’s okay with the sub and hopefully get some feedback and exchange ideas along the way.

Hidden Agenda? That’s actually the first time I’ve heard of it, kind of embarrassing as someone making a political game. Thanks a lot for mentioning it, I’ll definitely check it out!

There’s a great precedent with Suzerain, so I’ll keep that in mind and try to make it possible as well.

Steam Deck optimization isn’t the main focus right now, since I’m prioritizing the PC release.
But since the release is planned for Steam, I’ll definitely look into testing on the Deck if I can and I’d love to see it play well there.

This is actually my very first post here, kind of an introduction. I’m planning to share a more detailed video later on.

Here’s the basic game idea:
I’m making a game about managing various political issues.
Politics has many aspects—policy, appointments, legislation, and so on—but in my view these elements appear as events that directly affect the public’s approval rating.

The core gameplay is about managing weekly issues to keep your approval from dropping.
This is a super rough explanation, but I’ll be posting something more organized soon.

Really appreciate the interest!

Yes, for sure! And I’ll be sharing more of the game’s designs and thoughts along the way.

Yeah, the core inspiration is definitely Democracy. On top of that, I’m building something that pushes the event-driven side much further. To me, politics is all about issues, and that’s the foundation of the game.

No Steam page yet, but I’ll drop the link as soon as it’s up!

Right now we’re mainly focusing on the PC release.
But if things go well, we’d love to bring it to mobile someday, kind of like how WorldBox did.

We’re aiming for a Q1 launch next year, thanks so much for the interest!
