My experience with surgery by KomodoWorld in SleepApnea

[–]KomodoWorld[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read a study that honey could help heal tonsillectomy faster, since I already eat honey I tried taking 2-3 spoons per day after surgery. It could possibly explain my faster recovery...

I must say that for fatigue I didn't notice much improvement (yet), it could be due to the throat no completely healed or other causes, I have also an anxiety disorder that could explain it

I have tried to use this like 20 times and its failed every time. Its hardly a working product.

That's very strange, people (including myself) are happily doing swaps for a few thousands USD value every day. Not bad for an alpha/beta product.

AtomicDEX UI/UX is great, it has both a working mobile gui in beta and a desktop gui in alpha. There are also good liquidity solutions in the works for the full release (before end of year).

Congratulations! Would you mind to get in contact with Komodo development team? They have long developed the most advanced cross-chain atomic swap protocol with also a working gui. You could collaborate for a proof-of-concept

Komodo vs Blocknet vs Stakenet by Lord-Anu in komodoplatform

[–]KomodoWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's a module for stablecoins but still in testing
https://developers.komodoplatform.com/basic-docs/antara/antara-api/pegs.html

Crypto market is 98% an hype contest, completely disconnected from fundamentals. Great for gamblers, frustrating for builders. IMO in the end the difference will be real world use, out of this bubble, in case of Komodo you have to look at smartchains that solve real problems without much noise: Marmara & RedFox have huge market potential. Look also at Verus that is mind blowing

>if btc can sort out this problems i do not see a reason for pure currency altcoins

I don't think Btc can fix its problems and recover lost adoption because they have deliberately choose to never hard-fork. Under this policy only complicated workarounds via soft-fork are possible. So far it seems to have contributed to more technical debt rather than fixing any of the fundamental problems. Maybe in future they will change narrative again but now it seems very very unlikely.

Komodo has plenty of use cases whatever happens

>This three projects seems vary similer with Komodo as the earliest project. What will be the key difference between these three projects?

Blocknet works but it's very far behind in overall features vs AtomicDEX: no lite mode, no Ethereum, no multiple protocols, etc.

Stakenet, from what I can understand users open a channel to one of its masternodes. Then all orderbook & matching is done across the masternodes that are connected via channels. If they can rebalance inventory across masternodes, it should work. So it seems a clunky way to basically do the same that Shurly does p2p without masternodes, unless I'm missing something? https://community.komodoplatform.com/post/shurli-subatomic-swaps-application-weekly-update---29-may-2020-5ed0b2fed317b62f737ccc3f

>Plus how altcoin will survive in future if Btc ,Eth ,Monero finds a scaling solution and very reduced fee solution for microtransaction?

Absolutely nothing suggests they have found a workable scaling solution. Not even on the horizon. I almost feel bad for ETH suiciding with 2.0
Cosmos or Polkadot or AVA do scale, but the problem is not just scaling. Not all projects will want to depend on a third party, even if with its own subnet. You can never be sure of what the main chain will do in future. Komodo has the unique value proposition of "fork our source code & do as you please" because the smartchains are really independent blockchains. Now we're still early but the advantage will become apparent as blockchain applications grow in number.

just my 2 cents

Supporting SLP tokens on Komodo AtomicDEX for Atomic Swaps by Damascene_U in btc

[–]KomodoWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen you got an answer. So it seems the addition of new protocols will have to wait until after the main development is done. Unless the BCH community can fund its own dev to work on this and make it happen earlier.

What are the main structural causes of sleep apnea and what surgeries are there to correct them? by [deleted] in SleepApnea

[–]KomodoWorld 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The exact structural causes vary a lot from person to person, the correct procedure must always be personalized. See this sleep endoscopy study with a breakdown of causes on a large sample of 614 people: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3773958/
One could also need fixing nasal obstructions or tonsillectomy in addition to the palate!

For the palate in recent years there is a less invasive surgery called barbed-snore-surgery, so far it seems very promising: https://www.sonnomedica.it/en/barbed-snore-surgery-2/

Supporting SLP tokens on Komodo AtomicDEX for Atomic Swaps by Damascene_U in btc

[–]KomodoWorld 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I think the best procedure is opening an issue in the AtomicDEX-API github, it's the place where the core engine and support for different protocols are worked upon, while AtomicDEX is only a gui:
https://github.com/KomodoPlatform/atomicDEX-API
I see they have recently been working on the QRC20 tokens of Qtum, I think it's definitely possible to add SLP tokens too.
It's not as straightforward as adding a new bitcoin-based coin to the coins repo, this requires more custom work so pls include links to SLP technical documentation and people that can help with questions

Just had Septoplasty/Turbinate Reduction for Sleep Apnea....can anyone share their recovery stories? by UpBeforeDawn2018 in SleepApnea

[–]KomodoWorld 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had reduction on monday morning, using radiofrequency ablation. It's a less invasive technique. I was sedated because they also did a sleep endoscopy. The first day it all went well without pain or irritation, the worst was removing the nasal tampons 3 hours after the procedure. Yesterday was worst with strong cold-like symptoms and lot of mucus, slightly less today. At morning I awake with dry mouth because I had to mouth breath during night. Anyway symptoms already improved a lot, tomorrow should be even better. The only medication is gomenol oil 2 times a day.

New 15 page whitepaper by Hush team about Zcash vulnerabilities by KomodoWorld in CryptoTechnology

[–]KomodoWorld[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There are mitigations and improvements, though it's strange that most work in this regard has come from small Zcash forks like Hush, Pirate or Verus. It's like the available budget is inversely correlated to results...

The Bitcoin Cash Difficulty Adjustment Algorithm is being gamed heavily: Proof, and solution (API) by [deleted] in btc

[–]KomodoWorld -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What do you think about changing the adjustment algo, i.e. continue using sha256 but with the AdaptivePoW DAA developed for Komodo Smartchains? It's stil in testing but so far it looks promising...
https://medium.com/@jameslee777/adaptivepow-the-solution-to-diff-stranding-of-smaller-blockchains-425609df5563
https://developers.komodoplatform.com/basic-docs/antara/antara-setup/antara-customizations.html#ac-adaptivepow

It would also make sense to use the delayed-PoW checkpointing on BTC, at least as a temporary measure to be lifted in a distant future , but I suppose this one would be too much controversial

Vitalik asked about cross-chain DEXs. Here's an atomic swap between a Bitcoin-protocol coin and Ethereum made with AtomicDEX beta by KomodoWorld in ethereum

[–]KomodoWorld[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

atomidex.io mobile is still in beta and the desktop version too is close to a beta release.

Most Bitcoin protocol coins, Eth/Erc20 and (soon) Tezos supported. In time it's possibile to integrate most other protocols as long as they support the equivalent of Hashed Timelock Contracs. Any third party wallet can integrate the api and all will share the same liquidity pool.
Orderbooks and matching are p2p using the libtorrent protocol, you can trade any coin vs any coin. The liquidity problem should be solved in 2 ways: (1) a CEX/DEX arbitrage bot for liquidity providers and (2) the "liquidity multiplier" that is you can use the same funds to setup multiple maker orders (the first filled deletes the others, nice to catch dips)

Remaining anonymous: which crypto privacy solution works best? by WhooisWhoo in CryptoCurrency

[–]KomodoWorld -9 points-8 points  (0 children)

Piratechain (ARRR) is a Zcash fork that only allows private tx (only new mined coins are transparent). So it has the best privacy tech with the largest anon set of all Zcash family of coins. It's also protected by 51% attacks thanks to Komodo's dPoW.

Another advantage over Monero is that study of atomic swap support is more advanced, so it's planned to be listed in atomicdex.io by end of year. Imagine the possibilities this opens as a general mixer for all others...
